Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 Error Fix !

This is for those who get error(s) installing Stock Rom after Custom Rom.

I personally have semi-bricked my phone (SGS) a considerable amount of times and each time i got this message :-

E: Can't mount /dev/block/stl10 (invalid Argument) Error.
Then,I got very frustrated and found a fix.
So here is how I fixed it :-

The error is :-
Can't mount dbdata/..........

Install " dbdata.rfs.tar " via Odin in the Download Mode
( Volume Down + Home Key + On/Off Key )

( Odin > PDA > dbdata.rfs.tar )

Note that " COM " will turn yellow after you connect your Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 to your PC !

This will fix the error(s) !

Thanks!

I signed up to this forum especially to say thanks!

Fixed my phone (was constantly on bootloop) after running dbdata tar file through Odin. Just had to clear cache and factory reset phone a couple of times before and after, and also use a different USB port than previously as for some reason Odin wasn't recognising my phone.

Now phone is up and running again! Thanks a million!

I get the same error and dbdatafs works but soon after these problems return and I'm unable to mount in cwm (all versions). Back to stock I go and the problem returns. By the way I also get boot loops after an hour when going back to stock. In cm9 I'm told encryption was interrupted and I need to reset but I'm unable to do so. In cm11 the phone goes to recovery when it reboots and I can't access the system. It also says can't mount SD card. Someone please help me. I don't want to store a ROM on an external SD card.

My anycall samsung was being factory reseted after every boot.

My anycall samsung was being factory reseted after every boot. Now It fixed the problem. Thanks.
One question to the developers. Is it safe to use Custom Rom?? Do the developers put any remote malware in the ROM and spy on other mobile? I am just asking. Please don't mind :good: :good: :good:
