[ROOT][SP] How-to for rooting newest firmware 12.0.A.2.245 / 254

So guys I have got root on the newest firmware 12.0.A.2.245 / 254!

Since Sony has patched our beloved perf_event exploit (with which we rooted 30+ Xperia devices) I had to find an alternate way... so I did the smart thing, just used the kernel on which the exploit works, root the device and flash back the newest kernel!

THIS WORKS ON BOTH LOCKED & UNLOCKED BOOTLOADERS!

THIS IS ONLY FOR THE XPERIA SP (C5302/3) FW 12.0.A.2.245 / 254!

DO NOT USE IT ON ANY OTHER VARIANT/FIRMWARE!

Download the three files from the download section below
open FlashTool and flash the XperiaSP_C530X_12.0.A.1.257_KernelOnly.ftf - 6.78 MB file, this is JUST the kernel of an older firmware which was rootable
now once flashing is done reboot device and connect to PC in usb debuggin mode
CLOSE FLASHTOOL <<< VVVIMP STEP
extract the file DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit.zip to root directory on c:\
execute runme_ file corresponding to your OS on desktop PC, this will execute a SPECIAL version of my easy rooting toolkit <<< VVVIMP STEP
the above step is crucial! if you use any older version of the toolkit then IT WILL NOT WORK!
after rooting is over the device will restart
you can verify if device is rooted by checking for SuperSU app (it is the newest version)
once thats done now power down device and open FlashTool again
now flash XperiaSP_C530X_12.0.A.2.254_KernelOnly.ftf - 6.95 MB OR XperiaSP_C530X_12.0.A.2.245_KernelOnly.ftf - 6.95 MB (depending on your firmware) file to get back to the true kernel for the firmware
thats it after flashing is done just disconnect and power on device and enjoy rooted phone!

If you are facing issue of device rebooting when remounting /system partition then checkout the fix posted by @[NUT]

P.S.: i have rooted numerous Xperia phones, right from Xperia X10 (GB-2.3.3) to Xperia Z (4.2.2), within a few hours of release... these are some of the benefits of having an experienced dev working on your device...

Guys i am a complete flashing noob and i would like your complete help to flash the kernels and root the phone so i wont fry it .... please help a noob in need.
I need click to click instructions if possible.
Also how can i flash a ftf file with flashtool ... i keep getting an error

I still use fw .257 with easy rooting toolkit v17

How to doing this step ?

use easy rooting v18 again with fw.257 before up new fw .245

or

up new fw .245 first and doing your step.

You have to update then do the steps, because you'll lose root on updating
