u dnt need to be rooted to flash official fw , flash fw and den install that app to root if u wana remove write procted on sd card, ta back up is i dnt no but it backups some file wich you loose if u only try to unlock ur bootloader.. if u dnt unlock bootloader then no need for that, jst flash an root:good:
ohh thanks , but my phone is 4.3 rooted now, what should i do to flash 4.4.2 , can you give me link to the official 4.4.2
As soon as you flash ftf you will loose root. Re-root using same app once you flash the ftf.

The official 4.4.2 should available on OTA or Pcc update. 4.4.2 already available in my country thru OTA.1
