If you flashed DXLA1 through Odin then kies still won't give you an update. Because for some reason Samsung hasn't pushed the latest update for your region to your country. If you want the latest one (DXLC1), flash it through Odin.

Sorry, that's not me. I don't play MMORPG's, aside from the one that I GM at. And even that I don't play lol. I just log on and do player support. That kind of thing.

any cool things to do.. like what are custom roms? what do they do??
i want my phone to look good(themes). Go launcher is not good enough for me..

after you have rooted your phone, you should back it up using clockwork mod a.k.a (CWM)
once backed up, you can then try custom roms that you like
some tweaks you may like:
battery tweaks- http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1491714
performance tweaks- http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1353903
you can also research on "pushing" apps to the system
ps: You can also try using Titanium Back up to freeze unwanted system services and delete bloatwares. If you are facing internal memory shortage, you can always try the "link2sd" app.
All that you need can be found in the forum, just don't hesitate to use the SEARCH button

thanks.. how do I install CWM for SGY? there are so many threads and forums about this but I don't know which ones are right.
Please provide me the correct way to install CWM for SGY GT-S5360.

use this one. the most with no bug..
skin1980CWM.zip
put in the root of the SD..
flash with stock recovery.
-turn off phone
-hold HOME+VOLUME UP+LOCK KEY
-choose "apply update from zip
-locate skin1980cwm
-flash it..
and it should boot you to CWM
enjoy..

Are you referring to static's post? if yes, then my answer is that it's not necessary to do all those things because as what st@matis have said before, you cannot use the battery tweak along with the TweakZV6 scripts because they conflict with one another. You can either choose the battery tweak or the TweakV6 script but not both. You should also consider the scripts that are in the system/init.d folder of your chosen custom rom as sometimes they can also conflict with other scripts that you are about to add. Make sure there are no duplicates
As for back up, you can use skin1980 cwm or whichever you would prefer
