I found out that the latest google maps (v8) doesn't have the flickering anymore on CM10. Can someone confirm this cm11?

EDIT:

The point was if it flickered on other pmem roms.
Since I got thanks for my post, I doubt others noticed the bug fix. (I was getting scared that Google was about to ditch phones with pmem sooner or later but I'm glad they worked it out)

It is improved but at ground level while trying to scroll, sometime very small flicks in cm 11.

i have recently installed KIKKAT on my ray n it shows little problem with camera it is not supporting flash light with it...
Any solution for it :fingers-crossed:

I have the same problem on JB 4.1.2. It's sad to hear that it is not resolved in Kitkat. For me the flash works in other camera applications than the stock one. I have "Camera ZOOM FX" that is paid, but you will certainly find also other free camera apps. It would be nice though if it could be resolved in the stock camera application.

I thought the Ray only supported continuous flash, at least, on stock I know.
That's correct and it would be nice if it worked also on other roms than the stock one.

Continuous flashlight works good on ray and last LX nightly ... BTW, check that you didn't erase the torch app...
Cheers

What are you talking about? Flash is working perfectly in cm-10.1, cm-10.2 & cm-11.0 since last year

It does not work with the recently released Google camera.... But also lens blur is not available... Maybe is the app itself that is putting in some limitations

Maybe he used that camera

Bundled camera is ok

Flash and torch both working 100% for me. I build PAC with 100% sources from Mike. So if it really doesn't work and you/he do not have a hardware issue, it might be CM related

Yeah, torch and stock camera are ok

I think this is the relevant error coming from Google camera (not the stock one in the lxp rom, the one in the market.... Just to be clear)

05-10 23:34:12.605 E/libcameralight(400): sysfs_interface.c sysfs_write_value:unable open file /sys/class/leds/torch/brightness

torch does not exist, I have torch-rgb 1 and torch-rgb2..... Probably a symlink will solve the problem

I just noticed Maps 8 didn't flicker after you said that. Actually it did a little on statusbar and popup like "enable location service" sometimes, but not annoying as it used to be. Latest PMEM build (0319) btw

    Here's a status update:

    - Rebased & cleaned up the new audio HAL
    - Some fixes ported from msm8660 audio HAL
    - Fix in audio HAL for VOIP apps like Skype and Line
    - Fixed coconut stereo speakers
    - Testing some changes from CAF jb_2.5.3 branch in frameworks/av related to LPA audio issues
    - Testing some camera changes again, should be the most stable we can have at the moment
    - Disabled 720p again. It's unstable and needs more testing. Will work on it again after the first ION build release
    - Testing change to fix "bootlogo appearing while in android" bug
    - Tested FM and made some additional changes but still don't get audio. Will work on it again after the first ION build release
    - Kernel: some interactive governor updates
    - Kernel: increase ION_MM size. Should fix out-of-memory issues with some apps like netflix

As usual, I push all my changes on github so you can test building.
I would appreciate if you don't share any more home builds here, I will release some builds myself when some more bugs are ironed out.
