hello,
just installed a custom ROM and after that I've installed this MOD. It worked from first time. Now the sounds are a little bit louder, though not to break your ears :D

many thanks to the creator of this MOD.

HINT: you can use terminal also in order to move those 2 files.
example:

you place the 2 sounds in /sdcard/tmp
go in terminal, hit su in order to have root access and then go in the path where you have dropped the files (in my case /sdcard/tmp)

cd /sdcard/tmp
mv unlock.ogg lock.ogg /system/media/audio/ui
reboot your HTC and enjoy your new louder sounds

They were there I had to overwrite them I got it to work eventually must have just been a glitch or something cause after about an 3 hours and restarting my phone 10 times it worked

I've tried replacing the .ogg files, but i can't hear any lock sounds. Phone doesn't recognise the files and i can't play unlock/lock.ogg sounds via explorer, but I can play all other files in the same map. I'd attach a screenshot but it's my first post.

I'm probably doing something wrong when pushing via ADB. If someone could explain the process briefly this would probably solve it for me.

ARHD12 HTC One, rooted.

I didn't realise earlier that adb.exe and AdbWinApi.dll had to be in the same folder as the lock/unlock.ogg when pushing adb. So this time I did it right, both the sound files are inside system/media/audio/ui, but still there's no sound. I've rebooted the phone, unticked and ticked the box enabling lock sound. Any ideas?

Why don't you use root explorer or similar,it's much more easier

I've tried that method without any success. I'll send you a PM with screenshot to show you what it looks like when using root explorer (or in my case Total Commander).

Edit: It started working automatically later on that day. So I can confirm that it works on ARHD 12.

Can you also do it for the tick sound? The Effect_Tick.ogg? I think it also deserves a boost :)

Hi, I'm using ES file explorer (comes with ARHD 12.2) but I can't copy both .ogg files to system/media/audio/ui (denied).

I can't delete the files in there either.

I use arhd 12.2 as well and it works best if you use root explorer to copy each file over to system/ media/ audio/ui also don't forget to change permissions of both files to rw-r-r and restart phone, I tried es file explorer at first too and it didn't work for me

    Hello!
    The stock unlock and lock stock sounds in the One are too quiet,only supersonic equipped machines could detect them!!
    So I took them off,normalized(volume) them using a pro sound editor and voila!
    Now you can finally hear the sounds when unlocking or locking the screen.
    UNZIP the file,it's not a flashable zip
    You can rather use a file browser for root like Root Explorer:
    -Place the 2 ogg files in your SD card
    -Copy
    -Paste into system/media/audio/ui
    -Restart!!
    -Don't forget to enable the lock sound in system settings :)

    Or Push via ADB from your computer:
    -adb remount
    -adb push unlock.ogg system/media/audio/ui
    -adb push lock.ogg system/media/audio/ui
    -adb reboot

    Lock.zip = Normalized volume
    stocks.zip = Louder than normalised
    OneX.zip = Normalized stock sounds from OneX
    NEW NOKIA X unlock/lock sounds = Nokiax.zip

    I like the htcOne sound. But if you could make it louder(est) and post it here or in the op along with the others.

    2. Since you know how to make sounds louder maybe you can make the total sound coming out of the external boom speakers louder. HTC had it loud on 1.27 base but then after that all the other new Roms the sound has become a lot quieter. Maybe you can look it and see or change the Audi library settings for the external boom speakers and have them amplify the sound louder than what current level does.

    A single file being loud and overall sound from the phone are not at all related :)
