Mic only works on speaker phone

Flashed viper ROM had no issues tried to flash elemental x13 kernel a couple of times. Finally flashed after updating twrp now when on the phone person can only hear me when its on speaker phone. I've flashed new ROMs and kernels, I've done full wipes still not working

I have the same issue with miui. I've asked about it in the tread but no response. It only started a short while ago. Hardware?
