Thanks for the great mod ! but one Q tho..

I can see the huge difference in RAM usage compared to stock rom in nexus one..

but in the other hand, I have noticed that response time has been reduced as well (which isnt a good thing)..

I used SetCPU benchmarking in both stock ROM and Cyanogen mod..in N1

Stock gives some 249ms reading .. while Cyanogen 360ms more or less..

any thoughts?

I thought it was just me.

Same issue here - it usually takes three presses of the power button to get the expected behavior, no matter what the expected behavior is. Such as when sleeping to get it to wake, or when awake to get the power/reboot/sleep menu on a long hold. It seems like it's too sensitive. It actually will wake on the first press, but then goes right back to sleep, like maybe it's detecting two presses (a wake, then a sleep). Pretty annoying.

It seems to have started with beta5, but I wouldn't swear to that. I was running MoDaCo superboot, then CMb4, then b5. It definitely was not an issue with MoDaCo.

I am having an issue with the power button also... I can not for life of me get the phone to go to sleep by pressing the power button on top anymore. i can hold it down and it comes up with options to turn off phone and what not but cant get it to sleep. I have to let the display go out and then shut off to put it to sleep. any work around??

Did you go into spare parts and set up your end button behavior to go to sleep when you press it?

If not, you would have found that this "problem" has been asked and answered about a billion times in this thread and you should *facepalm* yourself. (especially since it's just a configurable setting) :)

If you did that already... then that's a new problem and not what we're talking about with the sleep/wakeup issue.

Well my weather widget from "Beautiful Widgets" updated, and now I am stuck in a reboot loop. phone starts up and hangs, even after I unlock it and hit the power button and tell it to turn off, it reboots before the power off command can complete. Had to pull the battery to get back to recovery bootloader and do a restore.

Reverting back to beta4. MAybe I need to do a full wipe then load the stable version. I just dont want to loose all my apps/settings.

EDIT
wanted to clarify, I loaded the Stable last night and was fine till just now when I did the app update. So I am not sure thats what did it, but its the last thing i changed before it went wonkers.

You can try running fix_permissions from recovery.

I know the 'weather widget donate' did that on last update, (check the comments in market) do you mean that or does Beautiful Widgets do that too?

Everything is gravy but the Voice Search. Long press on the search softbutton opens the voice box...but the mic doesn't pic up my voice...no matter how loud I yell into the mic!

It works 1 time after a reboot...then same thing...It doesn't FC...it just sits there waiting for my voice.

I know the mic isn't broken because I can make calls and people hear me fine.

Using all the latest stuff.

I'm getting the exact same problem, it will work once after a reboot and then it doesn't pickup anything. Any ideas?

How to connect to the Nexus One via SSH, by using a password. I read Cyanogen Wiki, but firmware has no passwd.
I'm trying to use like this
dropbear -A -N root -U 0 -G 0 -C alpine -r /data/local/rsa/rsa.secret -p 0.0.0.0:22
but dropbear, which include in rom, has no much options (like: -A -N root -U 0 -G 0 -C alpine).
Help pls.

Telmore APN works on stock Nexus ROM, not on Cyanogen

Hi,

Well the title says it all: Telmore APN works on stock Nexus ROM, doesn't work on this CyanogenMOD version. Too bad, guess I have to restore the stock with Nandroid untill it's fixed.

I used these settings:

Name : Telmore Internet
APN : internet
Proxy: Not set
Port : Not set
Username : Not set
Password : Not set
Server : Not set
MMSC : Not set
MMS Proxy : Not set
MMS port : Not set
MCC : 238
MNC : 01
Authentication Type : Not set
APN Type : default

    CyanogenMod is a free, community built distribution of Android 2.1 which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.

    Now available from CM Updater!

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     */

    This is a pure, working AOSP build which you can use without any type of Google applications. I found a link from some other project that can be used to restore the Google parts, which can be found below or elsewhere in the thread. I've still included the various hardware-specific code, which seems to be slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    * Can be used with or without Google applications
    * Kernel 2.6.34 with Pershoot's tweaks
    * ADWLauncher is the default launcher!
    * Complete music app overhaul by Eliot Stocker
    * Clean shutdown/startup system
    * New Apps2SD method implemented mostly by Chris Soyars. Create an ext4 partition and enable it in settings->applications (wiki page coming soon)
    * Built in USB & Bluetooth tethering
    * Graphical enhancements, trippy bootanimation, #boobs, and excellent wallpapers by Prash
    * ARM NEON optimizations from 0xdroid and Qualcomm
    * Includes BusyBox, htop, nano, powertop, openvpn, bash, and all engineering commandline utilities
    * FLAC audio support from Kenny Root
    * Phone enhancements from Cytown
    * Contacts enhancements from Wysie
    * MMS enhancements from, well, everyone (see changelog)
    * Perform zipalign-on-install of applications
    * DeskClock tweaks- longer autosilence and "require unlock" option :)
    * Massive APN list
    * Huge collection of ringtones and audio
    * Customizable Nexus live wallpaper by Chris Soyars and me
    * All available locales are included thanks to PsychoBoy
    * 360-degree auto-orientation by Optedoblivion and Elanthis (enable in settings)
    * Full color trackball notifications (from Google)
    * OpenVPN integration thanks to James Bottomley
    * Many other bugfixes and tweaks from AOSP contributors
    * Tons of work on the build system by Koush and Chris Soyars
    * See the full CHANGELOG for all credits and details

    All source code is available at the CyanogenMod Github! Send pull requests with your changes!

    INSTRUCTIONS:
    - First time flashing CM to your Nexus (or coming from another ROM)?
    1. Unlock your device and install Clockwork Recovery or Amon_RA's recovery image
    2. Do a Nandroid backup!
    3. Update your radio if necessary
    4. WIPE
    5. Install the ROM
    5. Optionally install the Google Addon

    - Upgrading?
    1. Do a Nandroid Backup!
    2. Install the ROM (your Google apps will be backed up automatically)

    HOW TO REPORT BUGS OR PROBLEMS?
    - Was it a hard reboot? Get me the file "/proc/last_kmsg".
    - Was it a soft reboot or a "boot loop"? Run "adb logcat" and get me the full output.
    - Pastebin links preferred
    - Please use the issue tracker whenever possible!

    Handcent force closes too -.-
    Edit // I also cant call someone. Force close
    Edit // Pocket Empires doesnt get internet connection anymore

    Make sure you don't have the Froyo radio
    Wipe data, cache, dalvik-cache
    Reinstall 5.0.7 with the shipping kernel
    Try calling someone
    Download Handcent from market (don't restore)

    I think you'll be okay.

    Seems to be a problem with Titanium, not CM. Uninstall it, reboot to recovery, wipe cache/dalvik, reinstall. Fixed it for me.
