1. Flash Stock DXLF ROM through ODIN

1.a If you don't have kies or samsung drivers installed yet please refer to this thread Samsung Driver Pack for Mobile Phones

1.b Download Latest ODIN Software here

1.c Download Latest DXLF STOCK ROM Odin Package here

1.d On your PC click on the downloaded ODIN Software after extracting it, it should look like this

1.e Extract the ZIP of the DXLF Stock ROM and you should have 3 files like this

1.f On the ODIN communicator software

Browse in PDA Section and select PDA_S5360_DXLF2.tar.md5 Browse in CSC Section and select CSC_S5360_OLBLG1.tar.md5 Browse in MODEM/PHONE Section and select MODEM_S5360_DXLF1.tar.md5

1.g Turn off your phone, and when phone is completely off

HOLD POWER+HOME+VOLUME DOWN KEY SIMULTANEOUSLY

1.e On the ODIN Communicator software see if there is a "Added" color yellow in the Messagebox

1.f Wait till it will say Success in the log,

1.g Wait for the phone to completely boot up

2. Download first the DXLF Deodexed Stock Rom here: DXLF Deodexed (CREDITS TO ZALONDABUZZ)

3. Install the DXFL Deodexed Stock ROM

3.a. When the phone is off press and hold VOLUME UP+CENTER KEY+POWER for 5 secs

3.b. from stock recovery select "update from SD card"

3.c. select "cwm_bla_bla.zip"

. now your phone will run the CWM, go to "install zip from SD"

3.d. from there choose "choose zip from SDcard"

3.e. navigate through the folder where you have saved the DXLF Deodexed (CREDITS TO ZALONDABUZZ)[/b]

3.f. select "yes", wait till it finishes, then reboot system

NO NEED FOR DATA/CACHE WIPE

4. Reboot the phone, and wait until it successfully boots (It will take some time)

5. Turn the phone completely off, When the phone is off press and hold VOLUME UP+CENTER KEY+POWER for 5-10 secs

6. from stock recovery select "update from SD card"

7. select "cwm_bla_bla.zip"

8. now your phone will run the CWM, go to "install zip from SD"

9. from there choose "choose zip from SDcard"

10. navigate through the folder where you have saved the latest version of monochromatic

11. select "yes", wait till it finishes, then reboot system

2. ENTER CWM RECOVERY (Permanent) or (Temporary)

4. AFTER BACKUP IS COMPLETE INSTALL EXT4FINAL.ZIP VIA CWM

5. REBOOT TO DOWNLOAD MODE AND INSTALL USING ODIN PDA.merruk.tar VIA PDA (Leave others black like Phone and CSC)

6. REBOOT TO RECOVERY, NOW YOU HAVE A PERMANENT CWM

7. GO TO BACKUP AND STORAGE THEN SELECT ADVANCED RESTORE THEN SELECT THE LATEST BACKUP THEN RESTORE SYSTEM

8. CROSS YOUR FINGERS, ONCE INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE, WIPE CACHE/DATA

9. REBOOT PHONE AND PRAY IT WILL BOOT (NOTE: BOOTANIMATION DOES NOT WORK)

10. AFTER BOOTING SUCCESSFULLY, USING ADB PUSH COMMAND TO PUSH ALL FILES FROM KERNEL_MODULES.zip

11. REBOOT RECOVERY AGAIN

1.) What is an S-ROM and what differenciates it from an ordinary ROM?

An S-ROM (Semi-ROM) is a variant derivative of the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) software, it aims to provide a more efficient and effective version than it's original predessessor.

What differenciates a S-ROM from a ROM is that it does not have some modules and libraries in the system or in other partitions which is in the OEM, the sole purpose of the S-ROM is to provide a better and lighter pack to users without the need to reflashing and deleting all data every update

2.) Why is it only below 30MB, some ROMs have at least 80MB packed?

The main reason is that because it is a S-ROM it does not need some modules that are already present in the stock rom, ensures lightness, file integrity and provides further speed and stability

3.) Why is it not an ICS?

I hate the UI of ICS to be honest, so ever since the 1st custom ROM for SGY was released i began theming ICS look like ROMs to my desires,
I belive that simplicity is beauty.

4.) Did you copy this work from someone else?

NO, all my works are originally themed. I spent lots of hours designing and compiling them from scratch stock ROM

5.) Why do i have to flash a deodexed stock ROM before i can install this?

Because Stock ROM by default is ODEXED which means it is impossible to theme without editing something in the internal package of system files, we need to deodex in order for us to get the possiblities of theming abound

6.) Can i Install another kernel when i decide i dont want to use the built-in kernel?

Yes, feel free to do so. It is your phone and as long as you know what you are doing

7.) Is this a REAL WP8 from Microsoft

NO, except HTC HD2, no other handset has been able to dualboot android and WP on the same device. This is a modded android ROM to simulate the WP look.

8.) Why are the installation steps so complicated?

It is definetly not, here's a 3 step short guide
Stock ROM<flash>Deodexed Stock<flash>Monochomatic, simple as that

9.) Can I use your work for my next project/development?

PM me first and ask permission to use this for your use,
indicate on what device and how you will use the work, don't be rude, respect me as i have respected you

10.) Where did you base your work from?

From Stock DXLF and some other things in the credits section

never tested it on custom roms,
