In case you tested one of the betas, then the new folder already contains a valid backup file. But if you remove the GalaxyToolbox folder, then at the next run you'll have the described option.

IMEI change

Hi Doky73,

I got a new GT-S5830i LE Fleur for my wife and we need to register IMEI address to a company but it costs too much and if you compare the phone price with Iphone5 etc... it's pointless to give the same money for registering this cheap phone. So I've decided to change IMEI number with my old wrecked phone. While I'm checking for EFS Folder backup I noticed your application and that's really fantastic. Thank you for your efforts.

I've two questions. I can't make EFS backup because that folder is empty. Is bml15.img.SAVE file will save my life in the future if any problem occur or should I do something special?

I've changed IMEI section of the file and restore it back to the phone. When I check IMEI through menu I can see the new one and the phone should be Nokia 6110 now

but is that all? Because that company will lock IMEI a while later if it's not registered to them, that's the rule and I must be sure that it uses the new IMEI.

What about bml15.img file? I will do a CWM backup of course but is this bml15.img file covers most important files for my phone (like EFS folder do in other phone models) IMEI, Device Versions etc...? I'm trying to understand the way that's working

bml15.img is a raw (dd) image of the /dev/bml15 partition.
While SGY does not have /efs folder (yes it exist, but empty) i presume bml15 partition contains all the necessary data for "personalizing" the hardware. Handle it with care!

I don't think its possible... because its related to hardware what you are asking is... Google "GSM" & "cdma" you will understand.. & read in Wikipedia about it
