[Q] O2 UK need Root - bootloader unlock NOT allowed?

Hi,

Before anybody says, yes I am aware there is a Search function - but I find a huge number of threads all with unclear posts, which is why i'm asking here.

I have an Ultra, SIM-locked to O2-UK, Bootloader Unlocking not allowed, and fully upgraded to14.3.A.0.681. Please can someone explain to me the easiest method to Root my device - and advise whether any downgrading and data loss will occur, etc? I'm desparate to tinker!

Becuse i'm clearly a blind fool(!), where are the stickies? And which in particular? I don't see any at the top of the Topic list in the Forum..
