Hi ya'll. I have deleted the keytracer.apk and I haven't noticed any problems. I googled what the apk it about and found that it is part of touchwiz but it has a lot of permissions:
add/modify calendar events and send email to guests, read calendar events, read contact data, read user defined dictionary, write contact data, directly call phone numbers, send sms messages, find your location and gps location, edit sms or mms, modify gmail, read sms or mms, receive wap, control near field communication, create bluetooth connections, full internet access, USE THE AUTHENTICATION CREDENTIALS OF AN ACCOUNT, modify/delete sd card contents, read phone state and identity, change your audio settings, take pictures and videos, bluetooth administration, change dial up network state, change wi-fi state, change wimax state, change UI settings, disable keylock, format external memory, modify global system settings, mount and unmount filesystems, prevent phone from sleeping, retrieve running applications, write access point name settings, write sync settings.
So i deleted it like I stated before and I haven't had any adverse reactions, everything works.

I don't remove anything....I freeze what I don't want/use and unfreeze when I need'em via My Backup Pro. Just saying *shrugs*

I'm going to start compiling a list of what applications can be removed and what the applications do. I'm going to list the files as they appear in the stock /system/app folder and go from there.
If you remove the .apk then also remove the .odex if its there. Not all files have .odex counterparts and some roms omit them entirely. Keep that in mind.
You can also just rename the file by adding .del and ignore the .odex file if you want to double check if it will cause problems. An easy way to do this without screwing around in ADB is to download Titanium backup from the market (free). You can go to the backup/restore section and simply tap the file / app in question and hit freeze. You can thaw it later if it screws anything up
This is meant as a guide, if you screw up your device by removing something I am not responsible. I will try to keep this updated.

What if i accidentally removed all those files, is it possible to get it back. And i can't connect it to my computer, because you have turn the USB thing on from with your phone on, plz help1com.android.keytracer
Hi ya'll. I have deleted the keytracer.apk and I haven't noticed any problems. I googled what the apk it about and found that it is part of touchwiz but it has a lot of permissions:
add/modify calendar events and send email to guests, read calendar events, read contact data, read user defined dictionary, write contact data, directly call phone numbers, send sms messages, find your location and gps location, edit sms or mms, modify gmail, read sms or mms, receive wap, control near field communication, create bluetooth connections, full internet access, USE THE AUTHENTICATION CREDENTIALS OF AN ACCOUNT, modify/delete sd card contents, read phone state and identity, change your audio settings, take pictures and videos, bluetooth administration, change dial up network state, change wi-fi state, change wimax state, change UI settings, disable keylock, format external memory, modify global system settings, mount and unmount filesystems, prevent phone from sleeping, retrieve running applications, write access point name settings, write sync settings.
So i deleted it like I stated before and I haven't had any adverse reactions, everything works.1I don't remove anything....I freeze what I don't want/use and unfreeze when I need'em via My Backup Pro. Just saying *shrugs*
