hehe, you should have used English language and left everything stock. (mada meni nije problem :good: )

Also, Evronetwork, add screenshots to the list of not working stuff...

For those just wanting to see how cm11 looks like just after the upgrade, I made a really short video before going back to CM 10.1, latest nightly

http://youtu.be/0OSIp7QxIGM

I'll try to add some if time allows me

Ok, evronetwork, I see...
The body of the mail is black, not all the screen, and it is the same issue with EMail (Exchange), so probably the same correction to do...

It's not all black, just the messages (the most important part)

Same here.. :(
Hope this gets solved soon, then it wil be my daily.. :D

Ringtone sound is important

Torch: I understood high brightness doesn't work. But normal torch does? Does it turn off together with the screen? Anyway, if I understood well the mustava's words, that will be fixed tonight.

Normal works, high power works if enabling blinking (or else, it doesn't. It doesn't blink but it stays on).

I have no issue with ringtone.

Normal torch works, high brightness doesn't(more than 1 sec)

I don't think Phonesky.apk works as a standalone and I don't have time to figure out the possible dependencies. That being said, here's a zip with only /system/priv-app/ directory in it. That directory has Play Store and some other key Google frameworks and stuff in it. I've no idea if any of the apps have /system/lib/ or other dependencies. Don't wonder if something doesn't work.

http://downloads.codefi.re/mustaava...pps/gapps-kk-20131113-no-metadata-minimal.zip
http://goo.im/devs/Mustaavalkosta/c...pps/gapps-kk-20131113-no-metadata-minimal.zip

Thanks mate about the gapps, do you know of any issue if someone puts this? I mean did you try it? :) -- Both links appear dead to me(first doesn't even open, second doesn't let me dl :( )

Oh also the Ringtone sound comes back after a few minutes if you set the default(yes it seems weird hahahhha). So you change the ringtone sound and you don't have ringtone even if you revert to the default one? ..wait a few minutes and it will work again(when I get back I'll post an updated list so you can put it in 1st post)

Don't know if this also happens to custom sounds, I try it to confirm this too.

I wish it was a compile issue, would be easier to fix. Sadly, it's a runtime issue and stack trace is pretty much useless for me. synergye suggested plugging /system/bin/surfaceflinger to gdb and see what's going on but that requires a local copy of source tree and I've only worked on codefi.re server so I need to download the source and then wait a few hours for it to compile on my lousy dual core CPU (I know I should upgrade).

Here's the logcat of the crash loop in case there's some sort of stack trace maestro reading these posts: http://logcat.scheffsblend.com/view?id=649001

In case anyone is curious, adb logcat with failing ringtone:

Thank you. I just retrieved a logcat of the same issue myself. Good to have some comparison points.

Well done Musta, I can't believe how well this works for a first release!

I haven't been bug hunting, just using it and appreciating how well it works, I've had a few performance issues but that was re installing everything, the only real bug I have come across is the ringtone issue that others have mentioned.

I do have one question though: how do you add more home screens?

In answer to my own question, it appears launcher/android won't let you have empty home screens but lets you add icons/widgets to be screens.

I still haven't figured out though how you select a different screen to become active when you press home.

The standard Android launcher is, as always, limited. Google aparently thought, and rightly so, that empty screens add to the memory footprint for nothing. As such they are removed.

The default home screen is then the left most one, like Samsung used to do. If you have the GEL and Google Now, the default is the second from left. The first is the google now window.

Of course, there's Nova beta and all :D

Im a lil bit confused
Thought this was for devices with ram <= 512

Ram isn't key either, as chainfire said "android 4.4 will add support for devices with 512MB, but not for devices with 0.25GB of internal storage", meaning kitkat will work fine for the DHD, for phones older than 2010-11, nope, storage is also key

I can't wait for a stable version if what has been posted on here is anything to go by. nice going mate.

I agree that it will rock, but what exactly is " noticeably faster than jellybean"? Being a first build, it is laggy as hell, which is normal :silly:

Open 10 apps with 4.2.2, open 10 apps with 4.4

that's noticeably faster :silly:

With 4.2.2 and 10 apps it goes like a turtle, with 4.4 it still works(forget about minor lag-shutter stuff that happen every now and then, that's minor and it's logically due to the infancy of this rom)

New nightly build (20131119) is out. It should fix torch, LED (same liblights change as to 10.1) and statusbar transparency (see this). Also whatever things I changed & poked since yesterday. Ringtone issue is probably still there as I couldn't make much sense what's wrong with it. Time to hit the hay...

Regarding ringtone, i was surfing the logcat, and after the call as terminated (at origin), i saw this:

Code:
...
[B][COLOR="Red"]D/CallNotifier( 2105): onDisconnect: cause = INCOMING_MISSED, incoming = true, date = 1384908195525[/COLOR][/B] [I][COLOR="Silver"]// Call origin hung up[/COLOR][/I]

...

While !ringing, there's garbage on the phone speaker (not loudspeak, the speaker between the led and the prox sensor)

So, @Mustaavalkosta, where is the ringtone being routed to ?

Let's spice things up shall we? Pair a bluetooth headset. When the phone rings, my headset (BeWii cheapo etc) plays its "i'm ringing sound", and the device plays the ring tone. Wait, what?

Just Flash and install new build.
And i have some respond:

2. Can't uninstall system app by Titaniumbackup, it show dialog: "Can't remove system app: Failed to locate the apk file"
3. Some time Wifi can't turn on (flash boot.img before flash ROM) , restart device, wifi ok
4. Don't have some funtion:
- Longpress Back button to kill app background
- Turn on display by volume button
- S2W
- Custome Status bar (battery icon, clock...)
- Swipe to change betwen Notification page and Quick setting page.

I will testing more .
Thanks mr Mustako....

1) I had one hot reboot(with v1)
2) Maybe titanium is not build for 4.4? ..check it out, for e.g. I'm using Handcent for sms and it didn't work but I've update it and they support 4.4. now and works as expected.
3) That will be a pain in the :silly:
4) Longpress as sweep2wake as others are CM features, we will see them soon. Don't forget that CM roms are also in their infancy so all we have to do is wait.

I
This Guy has show for us resuls of this ROM.

I have see two importan issues above.

Anyone can tell more about it?

Multitouch broken?????

If you read carefully the posts you'll see that it works as expected but after 3 points(e.g. 4 points) it doesn't work properly, same happens to 4.2.2 (a user reported that his phone work and posted a print screen, most if not all have this issue with JB and KitKat)

    General:
These are UNOFFICIAL CM11.0 Kitkat Nightlies / Releases brought to you by Open Desire Project and TeamCodefire as a continuum to CM10 and 10.1 nightlies. Builds are generated automatically on every first Saturday of the month. Process starts around 10:30 PDT. If it fails, then there will be no build until the reason for failure is taken care of which can take time. Last 7 nightlies will be kept on the server. If you want a longer history of them, you are free to archive them yourself.

    FAQ:
Q: I tried to flash the ROM and got this:
    Code:
    Installing update...
    set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
    E:Error in /sdcard/..path od ROM.zip
    (Status 7)
    Installation aborted.
A: Update your recovery to one that is compatible with new recovery functions. See the list below.

Q: I've used HTC Dev unlock and flashed the rom but it won't boot. What should I do?
A: You need to extract boot.img from the zip and flash it via fastboot. If you don't have fastboot executable anymore from flashing recovery, install Android SDK platform tools (Linux users should find it from distro's package management) and then reboot to bootloader, open command prompt and navigate to the location you extracted your boot.img and type:

    Code:
    fastboot flash boot boot.img

You need to repeat this everytime you flash new version of this rom to ensure everything will work fluently as long as you have just basic HTC Dev unlock.

Q: Where are my developer and performance options?
    A: http://goo.gl/jpS8r

Q: Feature X doesn't work, let's make 1000 posts about it to annoy everyone.
A: Please, dont. Use search and then use search again and only then report your problem with necessary logs. [Logcat guide, thanks to MusikMonk for the link]

Q: I hate you for not fixing this issue X!!!
    A: I love you too.

    Q: How I can build CM11.0 myself?
A: Setup a basic Android build environment.
    Code:
    mkdir cm11
    cd cm11/
    repo init -u git://github.com/CyanogenMod/android.git -b cm-11.0
    mkdir -p .repo/local_manifests
    wget https://github.com/OpenDesireProject/android/raw/cm-11.0/local_manifest.xml -O .repo/local_manifests/cm_ace.xml
    repo sync
    cd vendor/cm/
    ./get-prebuilts
    cd ../../
    . build/envsetup.sh
    lunch cm_ace-userdebug
    mka bacon
Once the build finishes you'll find your goods from out/target/product/ace/ directory.

Q: Something about something something something.
A: Ask the guy/gal next to you.

Turns out camcorder is working now. I rebuilt qcom-media and video playing and recording works. I spent a lot of time trying to get it to work with ION and trying to add back other PMEM memory but finally I got the right one :p

    Proximity Recalibrator

So, I was hit by sudden inspiration to rework leppie's proximity recalibrator app to be a bit more up to the UI standards these days. While I was at it I refactored most of the code to be more readable, fixed some misc things etc. etc. and of course probably broke something so dead unicorns ahead once again. I will include this tool in the next nightly build as I see it as an extension to device settings so it's kind of natural part of the rom. If you want to hate me for adding 18kb of useless software you don't use, you are free to do so. I love you too.

I removed the old-looking zoom in/out widgets and just limited the seekbars between values 0 and 50. I haven't heard anyone going above 50 so max value 255 is a bit overkill. This way seekbar is actually usable.

    Feedback is welcome as always.

Also pic because otherwise it didn't happen:
