Seems like only 1 incident.. not sure is a hoax or not... but I do hope that this is true... Since mine is rooted... I might just wait for another week or 2 to get the CWM friendly version and flashed mine...

Ok but what about those that dont have access to kies? I tried to look for the update via ota and nothing

My device is bought from Estonia and stock firmware was SEB. I just flashed the ATO firmware with Odin. Works great.
Ok thanks for that, does the device now say its an ATO region device or does it stay SEB?
I have not checked that. It should stay SEB (at least my gt8.9 did) and if you flash back to original SEB firmware everything should be as before.
If you are using wrong region firmware then you cant use OTA or Kies for updates. Everything else works as normal.

Only ever flashed the hell out of my HTC Hero and didn't think about warranty etc, but still have the 7.7 wrapped in cotton wool

No problem. If you have any other questions then just ask.
I have never used Kies. I always update my tablets with Odin.
Thanks for that info, I was wondering if mobile odin would work with this. I will give it a go now.
