LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Heya people!

Just a heads up, that we are moving to Stock Oreo's firmware, so it's better that you update to it for the upcoming Pie Roms.

Nick (GtrCraft) has already released a new GZOSP Pie build with the change (and i hope upcoming roms too) and has also made a specific zip for those who wanna update FP Firmware without going full stock.

Update to Oreo Firmware's FP firmware
Size: 582KB
From: OPS28.85-17
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262904029635

Downgrade to Nougat's FP firmware
Size: 467.8KB
From: NP25.137-33
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262904029634

Big thanks to Nick (GtrCraft) for the zips!

Flashed this over my LOS 15.1 with no issues thus far. Was using Trebuchet launcher, so I've lost my home screen setup.

Wanted to point out a few things after playing around with this rom for a bit. Everything is still running smooth after my install (dirty flash).

I did have to forget my paired Bluetooth headset, rebooted to be safe, and reconnect to get it to work.

I installed Magisk-v17.1(17100) without any issues. SafteyNet check shows it passed. I don't use it, so I can't say for sure.

I turned on the new gesture navigation system feature that comes with pie to sort of remove the nav buttons. To turn it on head to Sertings->System tap advanced to extend the menu options, go into gestures and turn on swipe up on home button. I get a nice swipe to switch between recent open apps.

Call recording is blocked in Pie by default. I have read that you can still use recording apps with root, but I have not tried yet.

The clock on the nav bar doesn't want to move from the left side. In fact show seconds or AM/PM Style is not working either.

Things feel smooth, and response seems fast, and will put the battery life to the test tonight.

So far great work. Thanks @sandy108

Ah 700 posts and you are asking that question.
All roms that aren't stock are 64 bit.

Really? And just what have you been smoking? His question was a valid one.
