When you do please share your feedback ;)

Hey bro, sorry haven't had enough time to check it out, had a quick look and it seems you need to have the pit file first, you can't pull it from the phone, as far as I saw in the quick look that I had. if you could find me a pit file for the N7105 LTE International then I'll check it out and see what works and what doesn't.

Cheers,
Evil.

Can anyone confirm that Triangle Away is not a malware? My Avast Mobile Security kept saying its a threat.

Thx

To the moderator
Can we please get this as a sticky posting, so us newbies have a rooting guide for N7105? :) Thank you

Corner of the earth
Thanks a lot for the guide.
=)
I'm quite a lucky crazy guy, who don't bother about EFS backup so far after I reflashing my N7105 for soooooo many times.
And tonite I just trying to search on this backup, before I mess up with trying again with 4.3 ROM.
hehehe...

THanks again for the link, and the OP.

Sent from the corner of my PC, as my Note is down =P

problem rooting Galaxy Note II GT N7105

I tried rooting my Note II cell phone (android 4.3 version) with Chainfire's autoroot and it seemed to root ok; anyway odin 3.07 passed it after the root was finished. I then tried using the app mobile ODIN pro 4.2 upgrade to android 4.4.2 which seemed to accept the rooting, and followed directions given on internet. I checked the enable eveRoot, inject superuser, and inject mobile ODIN, did not check wipe data or dalvik cache (as per instructions). Everything seemed to work and the new firmware v4.4.2 was installed ok. However, a check of the root showed it was not rooted.

I tried installing root explorer and it confirmed a lack of rooting. Also when I tried to rerun mobile ODIN, I received as error message that Mobil ODIN could not detect device model (although the device is shown in the phone settings). The GT N7105 seems to work ok as an unrooted device under android 4.4.2. I saw a post about mobile ODIN not detecting device so I installed chainfire's superuser from googleplay (as suggested in post) but this didn't work. Is there anything I can do at this point to successfully root it?

I wondered about the option of doing a stock reset using the phone settings, and then run everything again (?)

Live link to 4.1.1 ROM

Thanks for this info, very helpful :)

One thing you might want to add is a link to Firmware files that are actually still live... I've spent SEVERAL DAYS searching through the forums here and elsewhere looking for a 4.1.1 ROM to roll back to, only to be frustrated time and again by 404 errors on Sam mobile, or redirects to completely unrelated websites from those posted on xda forums. The only place where I found a ROM that worked was androidfilehost... I'd post the link myself but I'm not allowed apparently! To find it I googled N7105XXALJ3 / OLBALJ1 MM1 Singapore and went to mirror 1 on tsar3000

With this 4.1.1 ROM I have FINALLY been able to network unlock my phone to use with any sim after rooting and using Odin Mobile to flash the ROM without problems (btw Odin Mobile was definitely worth the £3.89 fee from the play store, and once purchased you can reinstall as many times as you want)

I'm now running Cyanogmod 12 and am very happy with the results! Thanks to all at XDA forums who have taken a complete noob from zero to hero (in my eyes anyway... I'm well aware that I still know nothing really). I will also add that the installation instructions at wiki.cyanogenmod are easy to follow for anyone who wants to give a new skin a try :)

regarding root note 2 7105

After a few hours of research regarding this model (GT-N7105 LTE) I´ve decide to gather the most important things

EFS/IMEI Backup - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1946915 - Yes, it´s the only way, until now, to safely back it up for this model - tested by me
"On Win7 you have to right click the program, go to properties and tick 'run in administrator mode"

Root whithout CWM - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1933542 - tested by me
OR
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2050297 - not tested by me

CWM - http://tinyurl.com/ccqqvk4 - tested by me

Triangle away - http://tinyurl.com/ccqqvk4 - and - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1494114 tested by me

Samsung PIT Creator, Editor, Analyzer - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1916936 - thanks to lyriquidperfection and evilbarcode for the finding

Information regarding the sudden death on the note II - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2093599
- http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2096045

If you are worried regarding security like the ExynosAbuse exploit you can also use Perseus Kernel to fix it - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1927852 This Kernel also provides a temporary fix for the sudden death issue. Its working fine with me, big thanks to AndreiLux.

If anyone needs i've to disable sms to mms conversion used this method - http://xdaforums.com/show....php?t=2012770
installed apk and Xposed framework
then installed the Disable SMS to MMS Conversion apk(http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/mi...ion.1/viewfile), enabled it on the xposed apk and works like a charm.

I've tested this methods and it's proven to work. Although read a lot before you flash because flashing something not proper will easily soft brick or even hard brick your device. If you have doubts, put them in the correct place for the effect, or just don´t flash.
All credits go to the devs of XDA and the people of the hardwarezone.

Hope this can be helpful
