Ive been flashing roms like crazy trying to get the best.....i liked 2 other roms but nothing can match this rom and battery life and not to mention everything works lol .i like having the newest of the new but stability and battery saving always wins

It's a keeper ...
And at the risk of being flamed ....I believe GB to be the best framework for the note.

Let the flaming begin....lol....g

I won't make grand claims regarding battery life for any rom. But I will tell you that my best battery life has been found using Gingerbread roms.
The other roms we have can produce great results as well, if set up properly also , but no rom is a smoking gun for 14 hours of life.

I've long been a proponent of GB roms, as they are generally a smaller, less bloated build. With that in mind, the device has less code in it's framework to plow through in getting the job done.

This is only my opinion, but my results using this non-AT$T build have been exceptional.
And for my device, it gives me better battery life than any other GB, ICS, or JB build.

Mileage may vary for other users and their devices.
Not to mention our usage habits, and the large differences found there.....g

I just can't get away from this ROM.
It's the first I installed the day I rooted my phone.

I've tried the all ICS and JB ROM's, but between the straight ugliness of ICS and the constant issues with JB, I just stick with this one.
Battery life, smoothness, and reliability trump the newest baubles.

I'm up for throwing at least two Jacksons and a Hamilton at the person that wants to throw his hat into the ring and give ROM a little updating love.
Maybe another Jefferson and a Lincoln if I REALLY dig it.

It's a shame you gave up on this and GB, Dag... This is a straight winner, and I could only see it getting better.

Hey Guys,

So i have heard of this ROM before but i know its an old one. Is this an updated version or an update to an old version? Also, is this JB or ICS and TW or Non TW?

some part of the thread got deleted so I definitely forgot some names in the credit list when I added them back please politely remind me (in pm of course :D)

Please :) ! Does anyone happened to know, or is able to find out which MILocker theme is used for the lockscreen on this project? I might be able to fish it out via apk manipulation of the .Zip file, but it'd require three hours and access to a pc, and i have neither of those for the next week or so. Ive been searching via the online MiLocker gallery for about 45 minutes (it takes about e seconds for each thumbnail to download in the MiLocker gallery, and each page has 9 thumbnails) and i spent another 30 or so minutes searching google as well as Xda MiLocker/Theme posts from around the same time as the thread went up.

Huuuuuge props, kudos, and brownie points to whoever manages to find it!

Edit: Huge apologies for the wall of text above this, the page looked much, much, much less offensive from within the Xda mobile app!

anybody got wifi tether for root to work with this rom ? if so, with what specific settings, i'm having no luck with it
any other wifi tether apps out there that work with this ? even barnacle throws up a load of 'i dont work' crap...

EDIT : FWIW, i got wifi tether working. it works with the wifi tether TrevE mod. device profile : Samsung Fascinate; setup method : Auto; Fallback tether : checked; Channel : 4, leave the rest as install defaults. When you start wifi tether with these settings, it will activate the native resident wifi tether hotspot program within gingerbread, make sure the switch this on and set whatever encryption and password suits, with all that done, it works really well for me.

Question : I'm using the default radio that came with this rom on my $30 t-mobile pay as you go account (unlimited data and texts, 100 minutes talk), it works reasonably well with 4g reception which I'm most impressed with, I was wondering if there is any other radios I could upgrade to make the 4g reception a bit more consistent ? I heard the blaze radio was suppose to be good or possibly the t-mobile radios developed by users here around xda, any tips or suggestions on this would be kindly appreciated ?!

also, any links to the original radio that came with this build would be very helpful to revert back to in case i screw it up with other radio tests...

Multi-DPI issue

I find this ROM to be faster than Android 4.x, so I'm posting in this really old thread.
The only issue I have, is that when I increase the density on the phone via build.prop, the system menus are not affected, remaining ugly large. The clipboard also shows large, and truncated. I assume this is the "multi-dpi" feature at work. Anyone know how to disable this?

There used to be a Q&A thread for this ROM. You might want to read through that.

As ,much as I have loved this projekt and have not updated it after saying I woudl so many times , with ICS source being out .. I have to let this one go , links will stay live and GB will always be in my heart for all that I ve learned on this OS , but with source and Jelly bean just around the corner , GB is like froyo or eclair , a thing of the past ..

Thx for all the support to all users running this rom .
