Hi all,

This is my first ROM after I got my GSM Galaxy Nexus.

Hope you all like it. Its basically stock ROM with minimal and very useful features. Will add more features and tweaks as I update the ROM.

WHY SuperROM and for WHOM:

The uniqueness of SuperROM is to stay as close to stock as possible with many useful features which are not found in stock ROM. Speed, Smoothness and Stability is the motto of SuperROM.

This ROM is for those who are looking for the above mentioned. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Features:

Based on the latest Android OS, 4.1.1 Jellybean build JRO03C
Close to stock
Fully Deodexed
All Google apps included (in future releases, I might remove these and put as a separate flashable zip)
Optimized
Lean Kernel
Proper extended power menu
Battery 1% circle mod
T9 Dialer
Volume rocker to skip tracks
init.d script support
Ad block(updated hosts file.. no more annoying ads in apps)
Static MENU button in the NAV BAR (BACK-HOME-RECENT-MENU)
36dpi Nav Bar
build.prop tweaks for better power management(battery saving) and speed
Rooted (su + SuperSU)

Instructions for flashing:

If coming from a 4.0.x ROM, need to wipe data/factory reset.
If coming from a 4.1.x ROM, need to wipe cache and dalvik cache
Then flash the zip through CWM/TWRP recovery
Wipe Dalvik cache
Fix permissions
Wipe cache
Reboot

Q & A

Q: Does this ROM include gapps?
A: Yes.

Q: Is this rom rooted?
A: Yes. It is rooted and busybox too is installed.

Q: Why and for whom is SuperROM?
A: SuperROM is close to stock with many useful features which are not available in stock ROM. It is for those who don't want to compromise on speed, smoothness and stability with good battery life.

Q: How to install/flash SuperROM?
A: If you're coming from another ROM, do wipe cache/factory reset in CWM recovery and flash v1.0. Reboot. Once the device is up, reboot back again into recovery and flash v1.2 update patch. If this doesn't work, then flash v1.1 on top of v1.0 and then flash v1.2. Wipe Dalvik cache. Fix permissions. Wipe cache. Reboot.

Hopefully my professional android experience (2+ years) and especially you guys should make this rom unique. Device being a nexus is a great advantage. I can try to make lot of changes in the framework source and try to bring in few useful features.

Lets hope it all goes well. And obviously need all you guys' support.

Can I change navigations bar buttons and resize them ?
Standard buttons is bigger, I like smaller buttons... if I cannot change it please add options to change in next build.

You cant really call that rom bigxies rom (no misunderstanding cause bigxie is doing a fabulous work). The rom is just rooted stock with no tweaks. In fact it is rooted and deodexed google rom if you should give it a name.
Basically anybody taking the stock google rom and rooting it will end up with something identical to "bigxies rom". If you get my point...

+1 x10 we need NAV Bar options cooked in to all these JB Roms. I for one need a static menu button. All the Devs need to get that ROM control working a la AOKP

Not Nexus one, but I worked on Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100G SuperROM which was quite popular :silly: You can find my work in my signature.

May be your battery was at 100% charge. Once it drops to 99 and less, check your battery on status bar.
