Kies messed up my phone.... I currently only have access to download mode...

What was your last installation ? Custom ROM , Custom Kernel , File System Status ?

That should work fine. Anyway, Flash JVB again with Odin. thats the least you can do.

Any hacked version of Kies around?

I'm on JVK (using Odin) and am eagered to try this new gingerbread as i'm tired of the battery drain.
(JVK: data connection off means 4 days battery life, data connection on means 6 hours of battery life

)

Search for Kies 2.0 Registry Patcher in XDA.

Note: dbdata.rfs not included in the tar, do not repartition when flashing this firmware unless you like bootloops
