Good point Karma - check that and make sure your IMEI is correct.
Hey guys. I decided to try upgrading to SlimBean 4.3 again and managed to get it working perfectly. I have no clue how I managed to forget how to flash a custom rom from Gingerbread but thanks for the help! Greatly appreciate it!
Hey Karma - I can take the battery and the charger if no one else spoke for it - I still have two of these phones.Well... It appears my T959D is finally dead. Ran it through the wash today while I was half asleep. Its sitting in a bowl of rice right now but I'm not hopeful that it will turn back on.
Anyway, it's been a fun trip and I'll still help out where I can. The file repo will stay up for the foreseeable future as well.
Edit: A few things... I'm using an LG Optimus 3D right now as a 'loaner phone' from a friend. It's amazing how **** Gingerbread is after spending so much time with ICS/JB. The LG skin on GB isn't helping it much. Anyway, got a Galaxy Nexus on the way to hold me over until contract renewal time in August. Hopefully that arrives this week.
The other thing... I have a bunch of T959D/i9000 accessories that are useless to me now. I have an Otterbox Commuter, a knock off Otterbox Defender, i9000 Xpal Powerskin, Stock 1500mAh and 1650mAh batteries (and a second 1650mAh battery that went through the wash, could still work...), and a stand alone battery charger. Free (or feel free to 'buy me a beer') to anyone who wants them, just pay shipping via EMT or paypal (preferably EMT).

I think the galaxy nexus will MORE than hold you over - very open phone, and still very speedy even on stock (and tons of support for it).
Edit 2: Officially given up. After a soak in alcohol, a few days and a good blast of high psi shop air, I'm declaring this thing dead. I'll scrounge up a box and get your shipping quote on the batteries tomorrow, JP.
In other news, I have no idea how I used the T959D for so long. It just seems so slow compared to the GNex I got (which I'm enjoying so far). Playing with basebands right now to see if I can find a good one. Trying out the last Bell/Telus radio they released as it seems like an obvious starting point but so far it seems like the radio I had on the phone from the stock 4.3 firmware was doing a better job of retaining signal in my apartment. Trial and error, i guess.
Can't hurt... I'll give it a shot when I get home.
Edit: Just dumped a bottle of 99% alcohol on my T959D. Boy did that feel strange to do.

Aviate - kinda neat launcher. Its invite only, but I have a few invites (very very few) invites left if anyone wanted to try it.
It does look pretty neat and I would like to try it, but I'm pretty stuck in my ways with Nova launcher. What are some pros and cons of this launcher?

I'm the same as you - stuck on Nova (and I own ADW, LPP, Apex, and Holo LOL) but keep coming back to it.
Search it on Youtube, its essentially google now as a launcher - kind of a combination of that with Smart Launcher (which is actually not a bad little launcher).
