[center][b]beware![/b][/center]
- for wifi wep to work you need to come from an ics sammy rom, or cm10 based rom, so if you're on sammy jb rom make sure you flash prior to this a sammy ics one.
- users who experience battery drain due to partial wakeups from NetworkLocationLocator service can use a workaround: set the phone to airplane mode and reboot; change back to normal mode once the phone boots up. You can do this every time you suspect drain is present. In other words make sure [B]everytime you reboot your device it is in airplane mode.[/B] This way you can safely keep Network Location enabled and make use of it without having the drain.
- cm10 based roms, like _miui.polimorph_, support fat32, but do not support [b]exfat[/b] sd cards and if you flash this rom with a microsdxc exfat the data on the card gets corrupted, instead format it fat32 or ext4

use at your own risk!
The flashing process will also wipe your apps and settings, so you would want to make a backup first with miui backup app while using a good rom version;
Also if you're on Sammy JB (4.1, 4.2) for wifi to work make sure you flash before this a [B]Sammy ICS[/B] (4.0) rom, such as Omega v13.

1. Reboot in recovery;
2. Wipe data-cache-system-preload;
3. Flash the ROM _miui.polimorph_...zip file from where you saved it;
4. BOOT / REBOOT in Recovery
5. Flash GAPPS 2012-10-11

7. Flash [URL=http://d-h.st/8ST]Themes_Fix.zip - 143.28 KB[/URL]

Here are some kernels specially modded for MIUI and patched against exynos exploits and SDS. The original versions of these won't work well on MIUI because a script needed for the shell system must run at boot. Only these contain this modification.

I'm glad you like it. It's pretty simple to get rid of those as I explain bellow.
Navigate in XDA Samsung Galaxy SIII\Galaxy SIII Android Development\ to this thread: [ROM][MIUI][AOSP][JB] - JIMIUI_JB and in post #2 you will find a link to the On_Screen_Remover zip file. Download it, reboot in recovery and flash it (no need to wipe this time).
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1849565

EDIT: Or you may use the simpler method from OP.

RGUI MIUI is Sammy based. This is ported from gnex/aosp.

Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

Maybe copy void.fstab from Sammy Rom, and put in system/etc Would this fix extsd card?

About RGUI, I ment to say, is this a good (ICS) base to flash from? As you aare supposed to install from ICS, not JB.

As RGUI MIUI is sammy based I guess it is?

What about the ext card issue, others have that too?
And is rgui miui ics beta 8 a good base?

Apparently the extSD card issue it's common, so I'm working to fix it. Thanks for reporting it.

I haven't tried flashing over RGUI. My flashing routine for functional WEP encrypted wifi works by using Omega's v13 as starting ICS ROM. You're always welcome to try it and share your feedback. It's fun, constructive and rewarding, not only for you, but for all of us ;)

hi. nice rom and i m using it since u uploaded. what about 2.8.31 release? will u work on this?

Thanks for you enthusiasm!
This hole next week I'm away from home for a company meeting, so I have limited access to computer and internet. ATM I'm using my phone and hotel's lousy internet connection to keep in touch with you because it's important to me to learn about your input. When I'm back home (9.09) I'll surely release a better new version based on your feedback, most probably based on latest CM10 + MIUI 2.9.7.
This being said next week is dedicated to feedback.

    Some of you might want to store your camera pictures on external SD. ATM CM10's camera doesn't do that and I'm sure it will at some point in the near future. In the meantime the solution is near: [URL="http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1746611"]AOSP SIII Camera[/URL].

    Hi _polimorph,

    As shown in v97 build, can you send MOD for Noise supression?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    temasek's UNOFFICIAL BUILD - V97

    •Updated vendor blobs
    •Picked -> Change Iadf1c59a: i9300: implement noise suppression for calls - By codeworkx
    •Noise suppression --> Dialer -> Settings -> Noise supression (enabled by default)
    It's a nice feature to have. When it comes its turn I'll work on porting it.
    Ok, but 13% battery down during the night within 6 hr without usage (almost everything was android OS) is quite enough. And Im not the fan of under or over volting ;)
    Yeah, that's not ok. Some say using temasek kernel improves battery.
    Polimorph, how is it going with the smali editing of the thememanager apk?

    Are you still working on this or is it a dead end? I personally don't mind having to need a xiaomi account to download /apply themes as long as we are able to apply our own downloaded themes without issues.

    gh.rohit was teasing us with a JB MIUI (2.11.20) for our SGS 3 and hopefully you got your hands onto that version also.

    If the theming issue remains, you could release an optimised ROM but with the 'standard' thememanager?

    Anyways, keep up the good work and looking forward to some news.
    I work every day on thememanager a couple of hours, after job, but it's very hard without any help since I haven't done any IT studies. So all the work I do is based on intuition and back engineering. Even so the progress is huge and I can release now a 100% working and FC free thememanager. As for the "standard thememanager" solution, that's what my work is all about: modding the standard thememanager to work with the newest MIUI incrementals (after 2.10.26). The work is not complete because I used some workarounds to acheive this but it gives us more time before MIUI changes all the framework again. For example in 2.11.16 version they're using a service script to start the themes which is impossible for me to make it autostart in the port because the source code is needed, so most probably I'm finding myself forced to skip (some) new MIUI incremental upgrades untill I figure out new solutions. Most probably the new version will be an optimised very stable version of 2.11.9.
    I don't know how much time I can do this, but you must know I do my best to keep it going.

    New version 2.11.9v4

    OMG this latest version of MIUI gave me serious headaches. It's becoming harder and harder to port, given the latest miui changes. I improved my porting skills and now I can say I use very clean techniques for porting and this time I had to find various workarounds for making themes to work without xiaomi account, or other limitations. All new bugs emerged from the new "themes" engine and I hope MIUI will remediate this situation in their next versions.
    I'm now confident this is a neat build:

    Code:

    [B]2.11.9v4[/B]
    - Fixed Sound settings FC
    - Fixed Music FC

    After it boots some system apps need your permission for root acces, grant them permanent root so it will not bother you again.

    Fellows sorry for this long delay for the new version. Some of you might know it that 2.11.2 version of Xiaomi MIUI issued very long and important debates about the future of MIUI in the comunity. The discussions are wrapped around the paid themes and how Xiaomi plans to squeeze some money from this free and beautiful operational system. There are currently some "voices" that say MIUI may become more and more exclusive for chinese comunity. These are pretty hard times for all of us, MIUI users, and I personally want to keep supporting it as long as I can and to search for solutions when they're needed.
    This week I was very, very busy. On sunday I'll have some time to spare and I just hope they'll release the multilanguage 2.11.9 version until then so I can post the new rom sunday evening.
