Video glitches is a problem... VLC can render but not all the time... Disabling hardware acceleration can help but when switching videos of different formats glitches returns. Hope someone has a solution for this...

Me and some other persons have a problem with videos in apps like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch.tv.
I can hear sound but the picture is all ****ed up.

That is a known issue of this rom I think but the developer has retired from working on this device.

Installed cm11...n then reverted back to b708....I cannot access mobile network "unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped"...tried reinstalling n formatting..no luck...

I have problems syncing music with rythmbox on ubuntu and SD-Card. when i select th device on rythmbox it cant read the mp3 files on the SD-card. if i try syncing, rythmbox crashes. Can someone help?

Help * H/W Video Decoder

Hello I am the carrier of a cellphone u9508. Has the same P6 characteristics as the GPU. At the moment I have CM11, but I have problems with video codecs. You will have Vivante GC4000 drivers. Or could help me in solving the problems of video codecs.

This rom is very good indeed (& thanks to all the developers for it), but it does not appear to have an "Ultra battery" or similar setting (correct me if wrong) that comes with official firmware or roms based on the official - please view enclosed pic.

Apart from the obvious, another advantage of Ultra battery, is that the phone can be used for calls/texts without exiting this setting.

I now use my P6 as a backup & with Ultra battery enabled, the battery lasts me a good 5 days. Without this setting in CM11, the battery barely lasts a day only (with minimal to no use).

CM11 has 'Go to sleep' & I've also tried the Greenify app, but any improvement with these in battery life is minimal at best.

Does anyone know of a battery setting in CM11 or even a third-party app, that is similar to Ultra battery?

It never got past 4.4.4 because the GPU drivers were never updated to support anything past it.
This phone has also been dropped by the developer community already a long time ago.

It's a dead phone by now. Sorry.

bu this os doesnt have any GPU drivers either

The drivers are built inside the kernel, the newer Android version will have changes in them relating to how they're used and thats why they are not compatible.

then why are no video player apps working beside the stock player that comes with the Huawei gallery app that has the codec build into the app itself?

According to my memory, the video players used to be mostly fine (some did produce a scrambled mess) in the latest build from over 2 years ago(!). You could try finding the apk's of the videoplayers from that era.

but it also gives me a playback bug with other things like VLC, telegram in app player basically anything that's not the stock gallery player it craps out on
even the ES file explorer its player

I remember the Telegram one, also happened on Instagram. MX Player works fine according to my memory if you get the required armv7 (or something like that) codec seperately from the playstore.
