Issues

Hello ansar,

I have made a deeper check in the release and find that in v2 and after the hardkey issues existing (i believe that is due to drivers changes in tha hardkeys)

Also the Income Volume is possible to be solved via tweaking of files and not registry.

Info on ROM Development

Hi to all,

I have included, addressed and fixed the following

- all XBOX games are loaded and running

- Vodafone My Web app can be loaded with data connection APN too

- True power service handling

- OEM and XIP updates for overall performance improvement

Remember that already have been fixed in [4.03.12] release

- Static MAC address

- Random Reset

- HTC_HUB tile update info and

- other minor issues

[Edit: There is no HD2 ROM that handles the following

- When listening to Radio through headphones

- then connecting to wi-fi the device hangs and

- a reset is required]

I am testing the issue with headphones and wi-fi

If it will not been resolved soon the new version will be released

1. The issue with the incall audio is solved or not?

Please also check the loudness of the incall voulume....

2. FM Radio is working properly with data connection on?

I am stuck in the loading screen with headphone plugged-in

I uninstalled Sound enhancer from the rom with windows phone device manager. This seemed to make the speaker system sounds louder but the in call volume still is absurdly low. We'll have to wait for the new version, if the incall volume isn't fixed I don't see how anyone can use this for a phone unless one uses only a bluetooth headset, in which case this is the best of all roms I've tried for Bluetooth functionality.

Have you also tried switching off TTY and Telecoil in Ease of access? This helped me improve volume with other roms in the past.

Yes Sir, you still have to call microsoft, or use the chat, and there are plenty of threads on how to do it. The good thing is you only have to do it once in your life.., by the way, they are nice human beings there and they won´t bite you...

true about those lovely microsoft ppl.
But you can use a friend's WP7, set up a new live account on it. Use reg editor to see the code. use code and live a/c details on your leo. It says so on first post

edit; I suppose you should set your friend's phone up with original code and live a/c afterwards, else they might not be happy.

yeah, I know about this 'trick' on the OP and this is probably what cuzzo confused, but still this sounds more time intensive and questionable than taking 2 minutes time to do the call and get an activation code.

Incoming soundlevel of the voice

Hey Ansar,

people reported, that the soundlevel of the music and the alarm is too loud. I took the following to help me out with it:

timmymarsh's FAQ:

Q - How do i reduce the UI sound level, its still very high when volume is set low?
A - Change this reg key : HKCU/ControlPanel/Volume/MaxdBatten from 45 to 100
A - You can also change this key : HKCU/ControlPanel/Volume/MaxSystemUIvolume from 30 to 20 (this sets max volume to 20 not 30)

It workes well and everybody is able to set the soundlevel individually. But there is still the question with the incoming voice level. I haven't tested the following regtweak:

Q - How do i increase the in call volume, its set to max (10) but is still too quiet?
A - Change this reg key : HKCU/ControlPanel/Volume/MaxinCallUIVolume from 10 to 15 (15 is loud enough for me, be careful going much higher)

I have not found this to work at all. That key simply changes the amount of steps between off and full volume but doesn't boost the volume potential.

I am getting virtually no sound in speaker mode during a phone a phone call, are you? If so, what hardware radio are you using and are you using 5.71 software radio??

I used this:
A - Change this reg key : HKCU/ControlPanel/Volume/MaxdBatten from 45 to 100

for Pdaimatejam and it worked. I would have to test it.

You are correct. Incall with speaker mode doesn't work at all and the incoming volume is too low, to use it. I did a lot of reg tweaks and nothing changed. We have to wait for Ansar to fix it. It must be a driver problem.

It is a dll problem the incall volume.
So we need to wait if ansar solve the issue.
It isn't diffiult to solve it and i could provide the solution to ansar if he want it

Well, I hope Ansar seeks your help on this. The new PDA, HD2O and Tiger roms all have the bluetooth with music playback reset bug so they are unusable with headsets in car or otherwise. Ansar's rom is the only one who beat this. If he could eliminate the power on and in call volume bug it would be a near perfect rom.

All Sound Isssue Full Solution!!!!!

After some detailed test i have complete the volume issue (incall and UI).

The solution is the following registry value

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Volume]
"MaxdBAtten"=dword:75

and also some tweak/changes in audio files.

So, the volume now is responsive to the default values and you could have real low level volume!!!
