Ok This now looks pretty much fully baked for my liking.

I've not tried any of the ICS beta's though... I recently flashed the .62 baseband FTF and have been using this for the past month or so.

What would I need to do to get this working? I really don't want to brick my only phone.

1, Do I download this put on the SD card.

2, Use Flashtool to install DooMLoRD's ICS Kernel

3, Install the ROM via CWM.

Then I'm pretty much good to go?

After the Above I then use the FTF to increase system partition to 420Mb?

Please can someone advise me on the above. As I mentioned this is my only device I aim to use this as my daily driver.

Also does WiFi Hotspot work? As I use my Xperia Play to Tether my HP Touchpad daily.

Thanks in advance. Good work everyone involved I've been following these threads for weeks tracking progress. Kudos!

Any ICS boot.img that's not based on stock kernel is going to have battery issues. There are some possible fixes for this, but they haven't been implemented yet, so we currently recommend using DooMLoRD's Advanced Stock kernel :)
Should be possible to make a mod to re-install XperiaFacebook and Timescape. Will upload soon
Excellent :) Downloading and installing now.
Thanks, let us know how it goes :)
I just love the fact that you have Apex Launcher as default, gonna test it for a few days!
Thanks, it's a modified version of Apex too, so it should be set up just how we use it, as default.

Yes, those steps should be fine. Although I would do the 420MB partition resize before flashing the ROM. Wifi hotsport works fine :)

Ok thx and I'll be installing this shortly and will be your guinea pig using custom Doomkernel and I'll tell you how battery and stability are.
But please kindly upload facebook integration and timescape, those are the only two addons I've grown fond of from Sony erricson

Just installed and it feels good. And lol Facebook integration already seems to me be in Settings. Gonna insert a SIM with Data and really start testing :D

Yeah 1 bug : with videos. Mp4 codecs are not present. Videos run with SW decoding but really slow
2nd a possible bug. With default configs Ondemand + no-op device does not use the 1ghz freq
1ghz freq is used when trying out different governors

This is a custom ROM based on the official Xperia Play beta released by Sony. This uses a full AOSP theme, with the Sony framework, so it can still be used for gaming with the touchpads. The custom performance improvements should show a noticeable increase in usability and speed, but still keep good battery life.

If you appreciate the effort or use this ROM, please thank both Atarii (this post) and thomassafca (post #2 below) as this is a team effort, with both working on it equally :)

    [ Update v1.2: ]

The 1.2 update is now available! This should have great improvements to the speed and the stability of the ROM. The V6 SuperCharger script really improves the speed and smoothness and no more random reboots were experienced during the testing! This was due to a lower value we used for the DalvikVM (hoping to improve multitasking), but actually degraded it. We're really happy now with the speed of this ROM and hope you guys notice the change too! :)

Included in this update is the new reboot menu, allowing reboot into recovery/fastboot from the menu. Hot reboot is a dirty method and not recommended ;p Also included is the HTC Sense 4 style recent apps menu. 1.2 update screenshots:

P.S. Not sure if anyone got the 'bird' reference in the picture? It was a roadrunner in snow! Roadrunner = fast bird, snow = ice (cream sandwich). Fast ice cream sandwich ROM? Bad joke :p

Thanks to zeppelinrox and his awesome V6 SuperCharger: http://goo.gl/qM6yR :)
Thanks to evilisto and his mad modding skills
Thanks to hitman980206 for noticing the DalvikVM hiccup!
