it *should*. it's a good bet. he's based it off pawitp's kernel, which does *NOT* use datadata. DerTeufel's gone back to it with his CM10v4 and rc5 kernel, so this Sema should not be usable there.

I could be wrong, but I'm not trying it. Pulling down pawitp's CM now to try this combo.

well, sorry for saying that is should work on Slim.

Got my usual Semaphore settings going on pawitp's CM, and it's really snappy (for now?). I'm coming directly off of DerTeufel's v4/RC5 combo, which worked smooth and fine, but after tweaking Devil kernel, it got noticeably faster. Feel like that's where I'm at now with pawitp/sema. maybe placebo effect, but i'm liking it. :D

I couldn't work on vacations. I had extremely slow connection. I only was able to read some news here. I returned yesterday and tried this alpha.

CWM backup/restore not tested.
Other ROMs also not tested.

I have a flu, so maybe I will be a little slow on this. Please for your patience.

About CWM. Yes, this is good news. I hope they still work when I will upgrade to CWM 6

It doesn't work on Slim_Bean. I had to flash the boot.img of Devil3_1.0.0-Rc3_i9000_CFS_BLN_CMC_20120715.zip to get recovery and the ROM back.

just to report: backing up and restoring a nandroid works perfectly with pawitp's 0720 rom and sema jb. no loss of sdcard data as reported elsewhere.

i've tried making nandroids with slim bean stock, and that didn't work (but no loss of sdcard data at least). on both that setup and on derteufel's cm10 v4 and devil rc5 kernel, i was getting a line during backup saying it was "freeing up space", despite having 3500MB+ each time. derteufel's setup did make a nandroid, though.

so now, with pawitp's rom and sema jb, I made a nandroid and never got that "freeing up space" line. After that finished, on a whim i tried restoring derfeufel's setup. It completed, but gave me an error about looking for data.img. It rebooted to the Devil Kernel splash, so I was able to get back into Devil Recovery and re-restore it all.

from there, I flashed sema JB in heimdall, went into recovery, and got back to this pawitp/stratosk setup.

not the most efficient way to flip back and forth, but it was fun. saturdays are great, right?

Is it the same version as Pawitp from yesterday? The one that sometimes corrupt the complete sdcard while trying to do a backup!?

    Thanks everybody for your words and your support!
    Your huge support and interest about Semaphore makes me want to try even more for something better.

    Maybe it's not obvious, but I'm working hard on this project. Last weeks, I try more to expand my knowledge and contribute to Linux kernel.
    As I said, this may not have immediate affect in Semaphore versions. But I hope for some results in near future.

    Semaphore is here. I'm here. Semaphore will not stop. I will try to contribute to Linux kernel, through this project. Maybe using other device, but with the same goals.
