This error is most likely caused by moving the usb cable to much. My cable and plug are faulty, and if I move the phone to much I get that error. Lay the phone face down and don't move it (even to check if the screen is inverted) or the wire during the whole process.

To make it short....and yes feel free to laugh at me for this huge mistake :D...I ended up flashing CWM 6.0.4.5 Touch for LG P760 on my p769 but it came out backwards... me being curious and not being scared to try things i flashed the cwm touch fix from the unlocking bootloader thread. Well it didn't work jaja and now no matter if i flash a rom everything is backwards (Example: If i try tapping on message icon it ends up selecting something somewhere else) How can i fix all this? lol

Install a p769 recovery, reboot into the correct recovery, then apply the touch screen fix.

Where did you get the recovery.img and boot.img for p769? I searched everywhere but cant find it. Also, can i directly flash a KDZ file through fastboot on P769? My phone suddenly died and i am trying to fix it.

Always receiving this then trying to recover my p760. Maybe someone knows how to fix it?

I've got the same partition error on a P760.
I've searched multiple solutions, read a lot, googled a lot, but I can't find a solution.
And I never found any tool to repartition the phone. The fastboot partition command returns a general failure.
Thing is, in fastboot you do not have lots of commands, like checking for partitions and everything.
So I'm stuck.

I even tried to reboot into a recovery from fastboot. the command tells me the download is ok, that the phone is rebooting, but that's not true.
For your information, the screen or keys never goes on. that phone is almost brain dead, only the omap and then fastboot interface seems to be working.

FAILED (remote: partition does not exist) while flashing x-loader and u-boot

I take no responsibility for any damages incurred to your phone
Please use this script only when necessary

Here is a little script I put together to fastboot L9s with ability to flash/restore ics xloader and uboot (p760, p765, p768, p769) jb (p760)

*I've only tested it on Win 7, but it should work on Vista , not sure about XP and 8

Very useful post about installing the drivers

*Some phones may need a different timing, 4 seconds won't work, worth to try between 0 to 4s and see what works best

Original thread about fastboot
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2119090

It's based on wpark - [DEV][Bootloader] u-boot / omap4boot for P920/P720/P940 and its variant

Is anyone still researchin thr issue mentioned above? I have the same problem and I am able to see either a Mobile Phone - OMAP somewhat USB device or TI-Board - OMAP 4430 in the device manager in windows. Is there any way I can check the nand or the partitions maybe? I tried to fastboot erase, flash and boot and nothing worked until now. Once I could even get the LGTool to see the phone, but it aborded the process somewhen saying it cant communicate. Hope someone can help me.

Hi there, its been a while since I tried fastboot again, but I have good news. Fastboot worked on my P768 using this method, I selected option 1. Then I was able to send recovery to my phone and then root the phone using a flashable SuperSU zip! 'adb reboot recovery' takes me straight into CWM!

    I have some questions though.

    • Is fastboot permanently on the phone like it is on the P760 now? or do I have to use this program each time to send fastboot commands?

Fastboot is definitely there but something doesn't get passed along during adb reboot bootloader or oem-unlock and phone just reboots instead of booting to fastboot.

    • Does this mean that I could potentially flash a custom rom to my phone now? I know all the custom roms out there are not for the P768, so I will get camera problems. But is this the missing piece of the puzzle for custom rom development/testing?

I'm pretty sure* you can use Android Kitchen to replace these files in latest Cyanogenmod zip with ones from p768 jb and have camera working.

    *i might be wrong

Hey Lelus, you forgot to add the bin folder (adb, fastboot & usbboot) into your latest fastboot.zip

If anyone need to download and use fastboot right now, download and use this one until Lelus fixes OP

i think there is some errot in your start.bat .
