MUST-HAVE APPS (side-loaded) with locations.

Hi Folks,

Let's compile of list of working apps, that are essential to our personal Nook Tablet experience. Please include all pertinent information such as: app version, link location (or specific marketplace), and special instructions (debugging, etc).

I'm currently using GoLauncher and MxPlayer courtesy of robertely located in this Post. There some other essentials there too!

Good idea.

I'd have a few more but I've run in to a complete newb problem. How do you deal with a device which has no menu button? I have a couple apps which run fine but I can't change the settings.

UPDATE: Click the Remove This Frame link if the download doesn't start right away. The download should start after that.

Here's what I have so far. If anyone would like anything added to the list, please post the link to the APK and I'll add it. If you have any ideas for other apps, let me know and I'll see if I can find the APK. If I messed anything up, let me know and I'll fix it. If I forgot to say thanks to anyone, let me know! Just trying to help instead of having to search around.

Lol I totally understand. Thanks again. It's great to have it all in one place. I'll check Demonoid and see if there's anything else we can use.

May want to watch your bandwidth, While i expect usage to to start peeking in the next few days, at the rate people are downloading off me, it's going to add up to around 100gb a month. I have an epic crap ton of band, so im not worried about it.

I would consider registering a domain, and building a pretty page for all the nook apks, but I hope side loading is a temporary measure.

If you install the google frameworks from here:
http://li362-167.members.linode.com/gapps/
Followed by the google apps you want, they should work.

Also: for those people who are having trouble logging in to the google apps, Install the market and login there. It will tie your device to your google account. yes the market force closes, but i needed to do this before my voice/reader apps would work.

Also could you send me the apk you used for dropbox, and tapatalk. I'll host them.

Alternate domain needed?

Hey, guys? If bandwidth limits are an issue, my host gives me unlimited bandwidth. I am co-located, however, so dl's might be a tad slow. Give me an idea of the level of need/interest so I can see if it is worth my time investment. I don't have a NT yet - hoping I can snag enough B&N cards for the holidays to get one.

I don't expect bandwidth should be an issue at all. If we need to sideload for more than a month, I'll have to reevaluate at that point. I'll add the other apk's in the AM. I need sleep!

I don't think it will be. While i Hope that this is a stop gap solution, I have PLENTY of band to spend on this. Thanks for offering tho.

The above build can update itself independent of the Android Market. Not the fastest Web browser, but IMHO the best (Sync is a *killer* feature).
