Made this thread in the AT&T version forums but it can be a bit long for a reply so I'm just going to copy and paste it here.

I'm aware of the OTA update next week that'll update me to Sense 6.

Currently displays in recovery:

Tampered
Unlocked
S-OFF

Currently on stock 4.4.2 ROM that's rooted with no other kernel changes, etc. and unlocked bootloader as seen above.

Rooting is nice and all but getting tired and would just like to revert to pretty much locked bootloader, unrooted, factory condition, etc. and be able to also do OTA's for future updates.

Any help is appreciated. Baby steps please.

If you are only rooted with stock ATT software, unroot using the SuperSU app, make sure you have stock recovery, and you are golden. DO NOT turn S-ON, and also no need to lock bootloader, as with S-OFF, you will get updates with unlocked bootloader

Unroot with SuperSU I know, and for stock recovery, just flash a stock one that I can find over the custom one that I have currently? Any links please?

I used this stock ROM: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2674222

He added nothing else except root obviously and and his own custom black boot screens, so I'm a bit worried the custom boot screens (literally just black background instead of white when the phone boots) could affect it.

Yes go for it. But do NOT lock boot loader or S-ON. Rest of instructions on that post are good.

C:\Android\sdk\platform-tools>fastboot flash zip Rom.zip
sending 'zip' (1516464 KB)...
FAILED (remote: 02 data length is too large)
finished. total time: 0.006s

That's what happens when I try to flash the Zip using the instructions in that thread. Any help?

your 3.17.502.3 use this RUU
http://www.androidruu.com/getdownlo...13_10.38j.1157.04_release_334235_signed_2.exe.
or
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip-m7_ul_jb43_sense50_mr_cingular_us_3-17-502-3-decrypted-zip/

I also apologize my stock rooted rom was actually pretty far from stock... it's missing the entire preload folder and weather animations plus it has custom boot screens. It is not mint to be used to take OTA updates. You should always use a RUU before attempting those.

I'm not sure why you get the decrypted Rom.zip error ?

also theirs no benefit in relocking the bootloader and s-on ... STAY S-OFF
