Better buy HTC one x if you need camera or some real camera:D

i have a dslr (sony alpha) for that

but xperia s camera is faster.... and i love that 1.5sec startup.

I'll see...
maybe I'll get a samsung mid-range galaxy..where there is very little development...so that i can join in as a developer and make my mark....lolzzzzzz

Oh lol, my iPad screen has burn-in around the status bar, but then again, it's an Apple product, so I guess I'm just holding it wrong.

i thought only plasma had burnin's

LCDs can get it too, but its much less common, and in my case it fades back to normal in a few minutes. I think my iPad has a dodgy display anyway, its also got some minor gradient banding and some light bleed up the top, and a slight uneven yellow tint. I can't be bothered exchanging it though, because I have to go though school and it'll cost a minimum of $250 for a replacement.

And no, I haven't got my nexus back yet. Assuming they don't loose it, it'll be here in 2 - 3 weeks.

Defective screens seem to be a common theme with me.

Amoled's apparently get burn in too, but I am sure it will be less common than plasma being that TV's don't have as much static image as cell phones. And plasma's have come a long way from getting burn in. Samsung plasmas are hard to burn an image. You have to leave it same station with logo all the time to get it. I was kind of excited to get image retention the first time on my Samsung plasma. 2012 Panasonic plasma's did well with image retention. Initial reports 2013 Panasonic plasmas are susceptible to image retention quicker. I don't know. I like my plasma a lot.

CNN is a logo pig, on my Samsung plasma... I run the scrolling burn protection, every few nights... The set is only a couple years old.

The way OLEDs get burn-in is a bit interesting. Its not burn-in as such, it's more like 'Reverse LED Fatigue'. As the LEDs get used, over time they begin to get 'lazy' and start to lose brightness. Now if you have an area where the LEDs aren't used, like the navigation/menu bar on the Galaxy Nexus, and you watch a full screen video, the space where the navigation bar would have been is slightly brighter than the surrounding screen, giving the appearance of burn-in.

Burn-in marks are not so common anymore. Few years ago it was pretty "normal", but the futured TV's do not struggle with this issue as much as before. :)

I know this is old, but just a little correction. The arc and the arc s both have a cracked plastic issue above the screen, and it seems many users are experiencing it. Its obvipusly a build quality issue that stopped me from buying the arc s

Ok guys/gals here it goes, Hopefully, this can become a sticky

Im gonna explain why I have decided to create this thread, and then I'm gonna explain what this thread will be all about.

First, why did I create this thread? I have noticed lately alot of members who like to get a little chatty in certain threads...whether its in the general section, dev section or themes & apps. Sometimes we can get a little carried away with our talking and it usually ends up with another member(s) telling these 2,3 sometimes 4 people to stay on topic and stop flooding the thread..Rightfully so. Sometimes, it also goes as far as a mod having to come into the thread, spend time cleaning it up, and then hand out bans, warnings, etc etc...rightfully so.

So, whats this thread all about? It's simple...THERE ARE NO TOPICS! we as XDA members sometimes like to talk..period! Within this thread we can talk about whatever we want...your fav rom, your fav theme, your fav theme with fav rom, other phones, cars, tv's, dslr camera, your job, where you live, post pictures of random cool things..etc etc.

The great thing about this is there will be NO going off topic, no warnings about going off topic, no being sent on vacation etc etc. This DOES NOT mean you now have the right to disrespect other members. This simply means you are now free to talk about whatever it is you want. Just as if we were all sitting around a camp fire with a beer in each hand...good ol' conversation!

The only thing I can ask of this is remember every member will and has there own opinion about anything that may get mentioned in this thread...PLEASE respect that! Don't be rude to other members, don't start fighting. This thread is our chance to finally go "off topic" without any harm.

This thread can be fun...I noticed alot of people who like to talk...so lets do this.

ps. Just because I created this thread does not mean in any way that I am gonna run it or be in control...oh helll no lol. This thread is for all of us to run and have fun. I suspect we are all mature enough to keep this thread fun, clean, stupid (you know how you get stupid sometimes, but it's funny lol) funny, and also help other people out with anything that gets talked about.

So, what do you guys say? Lets do this or what?

Now, im off for the night/early morning...my little girl will not go to sleep no matter what I do. It's been playtime for her for the last 17 hours or so...she is like that dang energizer bunny....I seriously don't get it...she needs sleep! lol

Lol photographer or not, I think it would just make more sense to have a functional camera rather than rom after rom with the same problems.

Yes camera is also important, but people like me have their X10 as an secondary phone where we never mind of having camera for few months or days. :p
and sorry for another rom without camera :p
