[APP][4.2+] CyanogenMod Chronus- Better lockscreen & homescreen clock (Update 8/1/13)

First of all I didn't make this app. I think it's a great app for every 4.2 phone, that's way I'm sharing.
ALL CREDIT GOES TO Quinny899 for the orginal thread / customization and Cyanogenmod of course for the original chronus clock !! :good:
Quinny899 posted the app in Android Development and Hacking > Android Apps and Games section.

Please do not report bugs to me but to the CyanogenMod Bug Tracker

CyanogenMod Chronus Clock
Tested on ParanoidAndroid Galaxy Nexus
Original Google+ post from CyanogenMod

This clock is just like the stock lockscreen clock in 4.2 but has options for:

- Yahoo! weather
- Font (bold or not bold)
- Option to show alarm or not
- Show next calendar events
- 2 weather icon styles: White or colourful
- Analogue or Digital Clock

Works on your homescreen too!

To access the settings, find Chronus in the app drawer

Big thanks to Nath Ward of Nathtech for the video!
(Features may be outdated)

I changed the signature to a more consistent debug one. If you are already using Chronus, you need to uninstall and reinstall to update!

1. Download the apk
2. Try to install it normally
3. If that fails, copy it to /system/app
4. Reboot
5. Add it to your lockscreen

Changelog (unofficial)
8/1/13:
Analogue clock now available
Translations updated
Text Shadow

4/1/13:
- New coloured weather icons
- New bold options
- New calendar options
- New preferences interface (icons and lists)

It will be better if we could go in system default alarm by click.

Quick question OP

First thanks for the apk.... Really awesome on AOSPA

Question is can I replace your attached apk file with the newer updates that are in the latest CM10.1 nightlies?

Lock clock has got some huge changes recently.

Thanks.

Swagged out of my Paranoid NeXus⁴

I tried this out the other day but to be honest I'm not a fan for the simple fact you are stuck with yahoo weather. If they were to implement the option to select from other weather services, like accuweather for example, I would definitely give it a whirl but I do not want my lockscreen saying one weather and my homescreen saying another because they are two different apps with two different providers.

Because of this I'll stick to Beautiful Widgets, I have my custom lockscreen version of the widget I want and a custom homescreen version, both display the same weather and both open the same full weather application when I click them.

Again, not knocking this widget, I used the cm lockscreen mod for weather on 4.1.2 but the lack of options on the weather provider killed it for me even then.

Another thing that would be great for them to implement is the ability to choose what app opens when clicking on the weather, clock and calendar. BeWeather and Beautiful Widgets both have this as well as dozens of other weather/clock apps.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. :)

What's the pattern for the custom location? I'm trying City, State/Country but it can't retrieve the data. Other weather apps work perfectly. Or is there a list of locations somewhere?

This version is outdated. Try the official one.. http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2186734
