Bug reporting:

  • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
  • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
  • If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
  • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
  • Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Install instructions:
DO NOT EVER WIPE SYSTEM OR VENDOR ON THE OP7P!!!!!

1. If you're coming from another ROM or need to perform a clean flash. If coming from OOS flashing OOS to both slots is not needed:
Boot into TWRP
Flash Latest OOS zip to both slots(technically not needed anymore as we build our own vendor image now)
Flash TWRP Installer
Reboot to recovery
Flash ROM
Flash TWRP Installer
Reboot to Recovery
Wipe Data and Cache
Flash OpenGApps
Flash ONLY the latest Magisk
Any mods you want to flash (I won't be supporting Custom Kernels or Xposed)
Enjoy

2. If you're updating the ROM:
a. Via the inbuilt Updater
When you get a notification of new build available, tap it
Tap Download
Wait for Download
Tap the three dots>preferences>enable "Install updates faster"
Tap install
Wait for install
Tap reboot
Enjoy!!
b. via TWRP
Flash Substratum rescue zip if you have a theme applied
Flash ROM
Flash TWRP Installer
Reboot to recovery
Flash OpenGApps
Flash Magisk
Reboot
Enjoy
NOTE: If you have issues with Settings or Play Services force-closes you need to clean flash (Method 1).

Current Issues/Information:

* seems magisk 19.3 has issues with sending you to bootloader, use canary version 19.4.
* wifi calling is being worked on but doesnt work atm
* Android Auto(screen flicker) and twitch(audio but no video) currently have issues
* might be issues i havent found so let me know

Have an unlocked bootloader, and TWRP installed/booted
(Not gonna be explained here, there'll be threads in this forum somewhere)
Wipe system and data (don't report anything bugs if you dirty flashed over another ROM)
Flash the ROM, GApps, Magisk, or any other mods (again, don't report bugs if you can't reproduce them with just ROM and GApps)
Reboot into the system, and enjoy the illusion!

Current Issues/Information:

* internal error on boot message (nothing serious)
* dt2w is not working
* auto-brightness works..kinda
* FOD shows during lockscreen/AOD with fingerprint enabled
* might be others i havent found so let me know

I think the flashing Instructions are not correct for this device. Wiping System ? Please check and lemme know. Many Thanks ?

Quick question, What happens, if i do wipe system/vendor? Any thing harmful happens to the device, other than a full format?

@HolyAngel updated the script to support flashing on OP7 Pro 5G, but OP didn't even bothered to give proper credits(all aosp using sd kernel lol). :good:

git clone https://github.com/holyangel/sm8150.git -b aospc kernel/oneplus/sm8150

or add to your manifest.

this doesnt say anyhitng about the 5g version but yes he added support in kernel for it but might be device side things needed.
and my bad just made the thread not long ago forgot to add him but i added him to thanks section. even though source is linked and can tell its based off his, not like i intentionally left him out.

    builds have started so update will be out shortly

    no more "internal error", fixed dt2w, fingerprint works a lot better now including while on AOD. Using a new kernel base by PeterCxy. along with some other additions and fixes in rom so enjoy. ive moved it from beta to Official so updates will come on a weekly schedule along with random beta builds in between if i have time.

    also this build coming includes our custom vendor partition as well now so increased zip size should be expected

    New beta build up, now running enforcing. Added display modes and a few other device fixes and improvements which are totally thanks to Peter and luk of LOS so drop over to the thread for Los and give em a thanks. I've added support for OOS camera that is in the LOS thread as well while your there.
