I 'm using windows xp, and when i open the program which laidaxin posted, it immediately close.
So i used another program : unyaffs
1- download the program : http://www.mediafire.com/?8j95j2u2rsg68d3
2- extract the file, copy three file : extract.bat ; unyaffs.exe ; CG39.smg to the same folder
3- rename CG39.smg to ex.smg
4- run extract.bat ( run as admin if need)
Done

Sssooo here's the verdict... I opened everything having to do with modems basbands and radios and compared them side by side with the stock and everything matched up even replaced and repackaged everything just in case there was something I missed but still there is no fully working 3g... which is odd considering 3g worked fine in stock maybe it has something to with the crossover incompatibility of the drivers from 2.2.2 to 2.3.7... but there have been no radio updates for our device so were still running the original software in a newer version of android... so unless we can find a newer radio/basebandthen we are stuck with just running 2g... I am only speaking for american users because I realize that 3g runs on higher bands in asia which this device will never be able to support... as for the bootloader I got it extracted from the sbf but when I go to extract the cgxx.smg file it says it is corrupt so I obviously got a faulty sbf file so all in all were still at a dead end at the moment... maybe we can find a radio from a compatible device that is updated and do some tweeking and make it compatible with the newer software but I'm having a hard time finding any crossover value with any updated files .. so if anyone could brainstorm and figure out where there are some possibly compatible modem files that I could look at and mess around with that'd be great, has to be motorola modems! As for the bootloader maybe I'm not doing something correctly?
edit: its starting to look like this is all leading backto the locked bootloader... because there have been similar issues with other roms with radio/kernel combinations being incorrect... and we cant change the kernel unless we unlock the bootloader and so on and so forth... but there are no kernel updates for this device either so i guess we should all just focus on the bootloader before we can fix any other issues relating to kernels and 3g... which was stated before by someone else lol but i gguess i was stubborn and had to just figure it out by myself

Not sure if it'd work, but I have radio 01.77.37P for att for my moto atrix. Its the most current radio for my phone. Maybe try it? Actually I have 01.77.36P also which ill attach.

Ill try to do some searching for original radios for it. And kernel. Still no word on unlocked bootloader. My guys on my atrix forum just wont get back to me.
im downloading a copy of live linux, from what ive noticed itll be easier to work with these files in their native habitat... lol that and the only real way to edit the bootloader and kernel is in linux
Keep us updated. No luck with the radios and kernels. If I could get my flipside rooted, I could try to extract those for you(with someones help that knows what they're doing) but its still being stubborn.
Don't have one accessible that can do that stuff. My xp machine got zapped with 220 volts of electricity a while back and about only good for now is a paperweight.
May be you will do this:
1.replace the /lib/moudles/modem_pm_driver.ko
2.add the missing files in system/lib,like the librilswith.so etc...
3.change the build.prop in ril lines
you all can try this for 3G problem.I try it,but when reboot to the system,I can't get any sign.But this way is the only way to solve this problem.Maybe I foget some lib or any other files fo this change.I work on CM9 now,good luck!

Well, first of all thanks to Laidaxin for the kind help to us about this rom, and also to all the other people around here that is helping with debugging of it.
I would like to ask for some details about:
1) Wonders if somebody may already tested the last suggestion of Laidaxin that I quoted above and if may share info about how it works.
2) Since there so many info and tests made for getting this rom working I wonder if somebody that was following the process of install and test this Rom may make a new clean thread with a walktrought step by step tutorial for this rom install process that may cover the install and working procedure of the recovery needed for install the Laidaxin rom. This because may help some other new friends aroud to install and may get more people around with Flips to try an test this.

Got it rooted finally! This method http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1321582 was the only way to get root back.
Well, finally I got the time to try and now my flipside is installed with Laidaxin CM7 and this rom is so great and the FlipSide seems like a totally diferent phone...
Seems so really short the details about having 3g and gps so would be wonderfull if We could get some other Dev that may help us, since Laidaxin said that now is working in ICS...
So, will be nice to know about the tests that may be are doing by the people around here...

Sorry for my poor English!3It should be 0 by default I think, change that to 255. I JUST finished downloading it, had major issues. One of the two mirror links was giving 404 errors, and the other was timing out ~20mb into the download. I threw it up on mediafire for anyone else having issues getting it (or for anyone too impatient to wait through the ~20k/sec I was getting here in the US).

For anyone interested, I tried again but a different way and got a reply... based on the other threads asking the same thing (for other devices), they release the source a few weeks after it's asked for

As for the boot loader, many people have petitioned/asked for them to be unlocked, and Motorola said they would - except there's only the Xoom (which is more or less a Google device) and a special version of the Droid RAZR unlockable.
Maybe there will be hope with Google taking over (every Google device is made to be unlockable without any hacks/exploits)2May be you will do this:
