I'm dying to try this out, but I can't get it to boot. I've tried all the suggested methods of flashing/clearing cache/dalvik/ anyone who's run into this figure something out yet?

You did flash kernel right?? Just asking. You can go to recovery wipe cache n dalvik cache and reflash kernel..
N1
i did flash it but ill try reflashing it. the weird thing is that it worked the first time i opened it. and another issue im having is when i hit to boot into recovery or even even hit restart system in recovery. i have to manually turn the phone back on. is there a way to fix that. or is that a bug needed to be fixed?
It's like that all the time right now. I'm sure it will be addressed in a future update.Dont know if kernel breaks this but it did happen to me too

Which scheduler should offer the most performance increase? I'm set to 'bfq' right now, and it's running alright, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything.
There are several "schedulers" for Linux... there's the main scheduler Completely Fair Scheduler (CFS) or BrainF*ck Scheduler (BFS) and there are I/O schedulers such as NOOP, deadline, Completely Fair Queue (CFQ) and Budget Fair Queue (BFQ)
BFQ is better than CFQ for multitasking, so right now you have a good I/O scheduler which is default with this kernel.
Later on, I will introduce, BFS for main scheduler and many other cool technologies... Right now I am still phone-less, so I don't want to do too many kernel hacks BLIND
