KNOWN ISSUES
V6
If installing as second rom(Devils recovery) the Aroma installer errors with "format () expected 5 args got 7" which means the bulk of our tweaks are not applied, however you still get an unbelievably smooth CM11 system and the CM11 installer do work as expected!
Will be fixed in the next version(possibly not as it seems dependent on Devils recovery, do a nandroid instead and restore to second filesystem if that is the wish)

DUALBOOT INSTRUCTIONS
i strongly suggest dualbooting SmartDroid and SmartDroid AOSP together.. best mix of both worlds!
Step 1, flash devil recovery and reboot into it.
Step 2, select install zip, choose the location then select "Zip to Primary FS" not rom.(make sure you install SmartDroid original as your primary rom and SmartDroid AOSP as your secondary).
Step 3, continue smartdroid installation but dont reboot.
Step 4, go to the main menu and select dual boot menu then select "create secondary system image" and wait till complete.
Step 5, select install zip, choose your location of your secondary rom(it CANT have aroma installer) and this time select "Rom to Primary FS" and flash.
Step 6, finally flash devil kernel and choose what rom to reboot into.

Yes, this is still the typical Xeizo vanilla CM11 latest sync build,
but now it has morphed into the Smartdroid AOSP-project! :cool:
That means from now, builds will no longer only be vanilla CM11
latest nightlie builds, but are modded and enhanced builds!
With selected features from SmartDroid!
Evolution it is called! :D

and everything went straight on without a single hiccup!

I compiled the stuff on my old server running Ubuntu Linux 14.04 64-bit using gcc (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.8.2-14ubuntu4) 4.8.2 toolchain. The server is an old Core2Quad @ 3.2GHz with 8GB RAM and some hard drives. System disk is a SSD.

Next step is of course to find some nice mods to incorporate into a potential next build. That will be later, no idea when :silly:

Hi there, have a great time flashing! :D No Gapps, sorry, but I recommend PA Gapps as they work super smooth for me:

I've installed their stock package and the dialer from add on modules, the dialer should be installed after having booted and setting everything up for the first time. I guess the CM stock dialer is ok as well, maybe even better, I haven't tested it as of yet ;)

If you want a camera with option to save to sdcard you can use Camera KK from Play Store, as I do, in every other respect the CM stock camera is fine :good:

For myself still running my V2-build as daily driver, of course having trimmed what's running with ES Process Explorer, Startup Manager and Greenify all from Play Store, it works great :)

really nice... I wasn't know... I just flashed kikat remix gaps :p and give me some lunchers also... the dialer it's ok white it's not bad... also the ROM works really good... I just don't use fully hibernate Greenify cose need FB notifications and whastapp etc.. also!...

thanks for the camera now have kk camera on my extSDcard.. have some ad... I use some ad remover because don't like ads everywhere on apps...

just I have a question... do you know how to make works the battery logo on screen when the phone is off? because when I shutdown my s3 and put under charge came out the battery on screen but still in circle reload and don't became green and charging... like one time ago... it's the first time I try this with kikats ROM... maybe it's normal?? :rolleyes:

Check lock screen / battery status and interface /status bar for some tweaking, and yes the indicators must be white in Kit Kat according to Google. Of course that is tweakable too but not by default. Glad you like it :)

yes... I know that... I wasn't talking about the icon battery on the ROM inside... just when shutdown device and plug it on charge... on that appear the status battery charging... ok.. for some reason now it's working... I consumed all battery fully empty just leave 1% and shutdown manually, put in charge... works again...

I'm thinking about get a new one more big... coz I use all the time my phone and battery drain down like butter :laugh:

ok.. I need more time with your ROM, I wanna try it well... but at the moment... everything works perfect.... :good: and have a lot of free RAM with greenify about 360mb free using about 460mb or something.... :laugh::victory: nice..

Some Q&A, the V4 build is definetely not as smooth as the V2 build and also it has the same camera issues as most AOSP Kit Kat roms.

V2 was a lucky shot and is the recommended one from the OP :eek:

Right now I'm testing a new build script which hopefully will fare better with the upcoming V5! :cowboy:

I haven't tested it yet, I'm on my way to work very soon :p

edit. tested both on Dalvik and ART, some 140 apps installed, works flawless as far as I can tell including the Camera. Battery is great. Only other thing I installed in receovery was PA Gapps 140123 stock, I do not use the Gapps Google dialer anymore, the CM dialer turned out to be a lot faster in the gui and I like the white/grey look!

New build is much better than V4 was, on the same level as V2, stable and smooth. Also, CM have added "save to sdcard" in the camera settings between builds so it seems I don't need to add that feature ... ;)

    KNOWN ISSUES
    V6
    If installing as second rom(Devils recovery) the Aroma installer errors with "format () expected 5 args got 7" which means the bulk of our tweaks are not applied, however you still get an unbelievably smooth CM11 system and the CM11 installer do work as expected!
    Will be fixed in the next version(possibly not as it seems dependent on Devils recovery, do a nandroid instead and restore to second filesystem if that is the wish)

    DUALBOOT INSTRUCTIONS
    i strongly suggest dualbooting SmartDroid and SmartDroid AOSP together.. best mix of both worlds!
    Step 1, flash devil recovery and reboot into it.
    Step 2, select install zip, choose the location then select "Zip to Primary FS" not rom.(make sure you install SmartDroid original as your primary rom and SmartDroid AOSP as your secondary).
    Step 3, continue smartdroid installation but dont reboot.
    Step 4, go to the main menu and select dual boot menu then select "create secondary system image" and wait till complete.
    Step 5, select install zip, choose your location of your secondary rom(it CANT have aroma installer) and this time select "Rom to Primary FS" and flash.
    Step 6, finally flash devil kernel and choose what rom to reboot into.

    ABOUT THE TEAM

    Yes, this is still the typical Xeizo vanilla CM11 latest sync build,
    but now it has morphed into the Smartdroid AOSP-project! :cool:
    That means from now, builds will no longer only be vanilla CM11
    latest nightlie builds, but are modded and enhanced builds!
    With selected features from SmartDroid!
    Evolution it is called! :D
