I was playing around with MiniCM9 now for a while. And my first impression was confirmed. Quick shots must have to fail. The way of nobodyAtall is exactly the right one. Waiting and trink a cup of tea or a bottle of beer and see what others do.

Well done nobodyAtal. Once again!!!

No discussions. No reproaches that someone has stolen your work. Like a real gentleman.

- To all other users and forum members please try "Apex Launcher" (free Version) http://goo.gl/uqvYd

It's perfect for our MiniCM9, faster and smoother than the original "Trebuchet" launcher.

Here some little screenshot: ;-)

Yeah, in fewer words, one has to be not only talented, but also know how to behave like a grown man. Also agree with the apex part. Go for it, you won't regret.

anyone knows when theming support is expected to take place in cyanogenmod9? i hade it being so dark :(

Hello much1,

CyanogenMod9, has not implemented the theme engine to the latest code (yet), however we will theme the rom the "old fashion" way until then. :)

Next release of MiniCM9 will have its own "theme identity", which will respect the main ICS guidelines, but also continue the color legacy of MiniCM roms.

Best regards, D_d :D

Does this rom have the proxy option. I read somewhere that google has offiacially announced that from honeycomb onwards we'll have support for proxy. So as this is an ics rom so I would like to have this feature on this rom.......:D

These are the things that i say in previously posts who needs resize:

music player:
screenshot2012050211465.png

torch app (can't see the blink option)
screenshot2012050211445.png

On a different topic, I recommend like the others users of this rom, the apex launcher. It's very fast and has the "persistent" mode, and the launcher didn't restart when i close and app ;)

Games test:
Fruit Ninja and Angry Birds Space run very fast.

Battery test: very good, like gingerbread :)

[..]

Hello rogermontane,

We are not sure if this is the actual app that will be included in CM9, as they were working on CyanogenMod9 Music Player.
However if that is not the case, we will seek for a proper fix.

ICS (in general) is missing a lot of ldpi resources so be patient, as there is a lot of trial and error in resizing these stuff.

also a question: is there a way to set the main/home button (the hardware one in the middle) to open/close the drawer, not only go to homescreen? I don't like to use the "touch button".
"fixed" this issue - switched back to apex.

video doesn't work. it is said in the change log.

I notice lags too. It happens randomly, but the device is unusable for a while, then starts working fine.

Depend on miniCM7, big different, miniCM7 very smooth.
this ICS4 miniCM9 randomly lag when connect wifi or open some apps.

But i like miniCM9 ICS4 interface... just can wait to fix the problem then use it.
Now change back to miniCM7 to use better.

    MiniCM9 Visuals

    MiniCM9 Theme:

    MiniCM9 theme, is the valid successor for MiniCM6 and MiniCM7 legacy.
    It is designed as close as possible to the original specs of ICS, in order to be a lightweight, beautiful alternative to the stock theme. However it is tweaked in several parts of the UI, in order to fit better to our small device's screen.

    Screenshots:

    Tips to make things faster

    * You want to overclock as much as you device can handle. ICS requires more juice to run.
    * Remove / Freeze system apps that you don't need, especially DSP Manager
    * Install only apps that you need, don't bloat your system
    * Consider using a swap partition / file if you got a fast sdcard. Swap will give more memory for the hungry ICS to consume
    * Using Zram (Compcache) and KSM is also suggested as they will give you a tad more RAM for your apps. Note that they might also reduce battery life since they require CPU cycles.
    * Trebuchet is beautiful but a bit on the laggy side yet. Consider installing another launcher from the market like Apex.

    Don't report bugs if you are using thirdparty tools that claim to be boosting the performance (Supercharger, RAM Manager, etc.)

    Components

    ### Built from sources
    * libaudio
    * libgralloc
    * hwcomposer
    * libsensors
    * liblight
    * fm Radio
    * camerahal
    * libcamera
    * bluetooth

    ### Done
    * HW Video encoder/decoder

    Performance
    MiniCM9 along with the nAa-ics kernel, includes some interesting performance improvement points:
    • System -> Performance -> Processor -> CPU governor and frequency --> SmartassV2 is suggested. Overclocking can be set as higher as your device can take
    • System -> Performance -> Processor -> Undervolting --> Enable this to get better battery life
    • System -> Performance -> Memory management -> zRam (Compcache) --> By default this is set to 18% in order to provide more physical memory (RAM)
    • System -> Performance -> Kernel samepage merging -> Enable this to get smaller memory footprint due to memory sharing among apps (Note that this might increase battery consumption)
