Hi i just build a theme used cyanogen rc4 (thats what im running ) im using theme honeybread.apk with theme manager renamed the apk. cooked the theme installed this file UOT-04-03-19-33-2 in recovery installed the new honeybread .apk that was made and every thing is working but the battery keeps switching back and forth from original icon the the circle one i put in ????

i never get a reply when i have a problem with your software ??? even a nice &^%$ off would be better than nothing . thanks

You cooked system files for CM7.
So u need to switch to System in the
Theme chooser.
If you want to use Honeybread theme with mods from kitchen - you need to upload that theme apk and indtall modded theme (unzip UOT to get apk, no need to flash in recovery).
Now your phone yryrs to use battery from system (your cooked) and themes (you using).

You not granted tech support if you using UOT, I'm just helping as much as I can.

tried wiping cache/devlik cache and mounting system still getting bootloops and force closes

Sorry didn't meen to bea **** but it sounded like Ur goin at it wrong ie downloading kitchen and such u upload to site and only dl cooked file.
That said I would be glad to help if I can. What phone are u on and what Rom are u running.

Im On a vision. Runing a Gingerbread sense ROM. I just made the mods etc and its cooking the file for me.. just was getting confused i Honestly dont know if it will even work. I uploaded the framework-res.apk and the systemui.apk from the ROM im running and uploaded it before cooking. Just i dont know if it knows i want it running on a sense or regular stock ROM.. just confused on how exactly this all works. made my little color things i wanted to the taskbar and all that. Was wanting to make everything have a Stock Gingerbread look on this. Now i really don't know if this will work since you have the ability to change skins and all this.. oh well. ill see if it works.

God damn.. waited too long now i dont even know where my damn file is.. gotta recook.. Fail.

For your file - look in pickup page.
Look for your UOT number.

Kitchen don't need to know on what rom you are. It applyes mods on the files you uploaded.

Well no. My Rom is the latest HTC leak of Gingerbread Sense for the Desire Z, Which i have. (G2) and im trying to make an edit to a skin.. This is just a full blown fail honestly from what im assuming because when i think about it, where exactly is this MOD im making going to? On Sense, you have the ability to change skins in the ROM, so which skin am i customizing? I wanted to make a installable APK so i can just install this "theme" im trying to make, but this is getting very confusing by the second.

I did, Just all i remember is that it ended in -48. but when i went, one a while ago from what i think was the only one that ended in -48. it said UOT-04-03-18-48. it seems like that one was made before i started cooking mines. im waiting and seeing if another one comes up that ends in -48.

found my file. Wish me luck guys.

Im actually suprised it worked. But Just It didn't Come out exactly how i wanted. Anyway to edit the one i made? or should i just do another one? And how do you take the numbers out of the battery percentage? when i generate a preview, it shows both, but i hate having those damn battery percentages lol.

I have edited the 4g icons to red and added a background to the P5 power control icons.
Also, I have edited the stat_sys_battery_charge.xml to run from 0 to the current battery percentage. Have a look, you will see what I mean.

    How kitchen works

    Kitchen originally was build for HTC Desire, but now it supports most devices with Android OS.
    Kitchen takes files from your rom and adds modifications you choose.
    It works for most custom deodexed roms: Froyo (2.2) and Gingerbead (2.3).
    You can use kitchen with stock odexed roms (if you have .odex files in your rom - kitchen works for you too)

    How to use kitchen

    1. Go to Kitchen page http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/

    2. Browse through available mods and choose what you need (don't forget to press Generate preview if theris such button)

    3. Go to File upload section and upload your files or choose rom from kitchen's list (most roms in the list is for HTC Desire)

    Files needed to upload:
    Froyo rom: framework-res.apk
    Gingerbread rom: framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk
    Gingerbread with sense rom: framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk and com.htc.resources.apk
    Cyanogenmod7 rom: Cyanbread.apk or Androidian.apk or any theme for ThemeChooser (rename as you like it to apear in theme menu)

    NOTE 1: if you uploading theme apk - do not upload any other files (you just waisting trafic, because kitchen will ignore additional files)

    NOTE 2: Font packs and Bootanimation do not requires uploading files.

    4. Go to Summary section. All choosed mod must be in green background. If there is mod in red background - it means you did not finished it.

    press Submit work to kitchen

    5. Remember UOT file name. You can wait for a kitchen to cook your request, but after 5min waiting will be stopped (nothing to worry about).

    6. Go to Pickup page http://uot.dakra.lt/pickup/ and wait for your file to appear (it can take up to 30min or more)

    7. Download UOT zip into SD card of your phone

    8. Reboot into recovery

    9. Wipe cache and dalvik-cache (just in case). Do not make factory reset.

    10. Flash UOT zip

    11. Reboot phone

    How get files for kitchen

    Check your How-to page


    What to do of the UOT-......... ZIP file

    1. Reboot into recovery.
    2. choose "install zip from sdcard"
    3. choose "choose zip from sdcard"
    4. locate your file UOT-... .zip in SD
    5. confirm "YES - install UOT ... .zip"
    6. wait for script to finish
    7. reboot phone

    If you cooked file for ThemeChooser - you can unzip UOT and install apk as regular one. After that - select new theme in Theme Chooser and reboot phone.

    WARNING! Flash UOT file after you have first boot.
    If you flashed new rom, boot up your phone first time
    and after that reboot into recovery to flash UOT file.


    What to do if you get SHTF error

    Kitchen uses inteligent approach to your files and tryes to fix most of errors, but sometimes apk tools fails to recompile your files and kitchen can't do nothing.
    If you get SHTF error and want to ask for help in forum - please, mention UOT file name and ROM or Theme you are using. Also, telling your device will be very helpfull.

    If you using popular ROM/Theme - you can try to cook our corrected framework-res.apk from the list.

    the "file upload" sevction did give a UOT-xx-xx-xx-x to identify exactly which file is the one I created..

    u must submit work in "Summary" section - after that you will get UOT name.

    Seriously, is there any way to implement it? The known method (editing notification_config.txt) doesn't solve the problem, it creates an empty space (see attachment). I'm sure I'm not the only one who would use it.

    this can be hard to complete.
    removing this mod can cause FC's as system still tryes to use it.
    will see what can be done.
