i dont understand how to do that. will it turn my adb on because its not showing up

Personally, I wouldn't even bother. Just download a rom, sideload it and install it per the usual. If for some reason you can't transfer the rom from the computer to the phone in recovery, get a hold of your stock rooted rom and flash the tar in download mode with odin

Here go to Walmart and buy a SD card adapter. Use the adapter and you can access your SD on your PC. Then download a ROM onto the SD and put your SD back into your phone. Lastly wipe your data and cache and install the ROM from your SD.
