[ROM] MyTouch 4G Slide DoubleShot Lite 1.2.3

New Version! Lost another Pound!
Based on paulobrien de-odex rom. Big Thanks.
I did this rom, because i was not fully happy with the alternative rom. Always something bad. But i love this one.
However this rom is not a benchmark killer or extreme battery saver (even if it's great), it is just stable and lite with no extra program.

What's inside?
Custom rom 100% stable
lightly tweak
lightly optimize
Zero compression 4bit alignment method (No FC)
No battery drain (on system apps)
Battery improvement?
Fully automatic updater-script
Zero bloat and still 100% functionnal
And much more

Note:There is 2 extra programs (TitaniumBackup, and Total commander), i needed them for debugging and testing. There are user app, you can delete without any special permission if you don't like them.
After the initial set-up you can delete HTCSetup.Wizard.apk.

How to install?
Download MT4GS_Lite_1.2.3-111127CL.zip @ http://minus.com/mt4gs-dsl
In recovery Mode select
install from ZIP
Yes
Reboot
Setup google account and/or email (remember no gmail)
Reinstall your favorite applications
Once all your applications are loaded, you REBOOT!

Can this be installed using the new recovery? I like the idea of this rom and want to try it but I have the official recovery installed right now.

It should not be a problem. I have no problem with 4.0.0.9, so i didn't update (yet)

I just figured out how to flash any of the roms with the new recovery. With the older roms you just have to mount the system and data yourself before you flash and it works perfect.

Mostly Remove a lot of Orphan files.
Optimize, clean -> feel a little bit smoother.

On fresh install, you should have between 300-320meg free and still 100% functional.

Nice rom! I have one question. Why doesnt my contacts sync? I added my google account but it doesnt give me a option to sync my contacts or calendar

I though this could be a problem for some users. I don't use gmail.
But I will do 2 patches to quickly install Google service:

1:
GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk

2:
GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk
Gmail.apk

U didnt think we would want r contacts synced??? Hmmm. Thanks for the quick patch though man. Was going to try another rom but il stay if it gets patched.

I use hotmail, and some other Exchange server, all my contacts and calendars work.
I uploaded the patch, it's untested! i will test tomorrow to make sure it works.
And it will stay as a patch since i don't need it
