Just grab the cwm flashable zips from the ma2 thread (modem and RPM) and flash in recovery. No need to wipe anything...

Not sure about Gnow.

If you're using anthrax, or KT do the following for smoothest experience

with root explorer go to system/etc/init.d and delete all the scripts expect zipalign. Then go to your build.prop and make the following deletions:

Under additional build properties, delete this

windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=300

Under beans tweaks delete

ro.max.fling_velocity=12000
ro.min.fling_velocity=8000

Under dalvik tweaks delete

debug.performance.tuning=1
ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0
ro.kernel.checkjni=0

Reboot into recovery and wipe caches

I wouldn't really recommend that. I would recommend people look at the scripts before just deleting to understand what they do. And if you do delete them and the rom stops working as well then don't complain.

No their phones would boot fine. But take for example the 05Beans which disables the stupid wifi notification, deleting that script would re-enable that. Also beans has done a number of things to make certain things more smooth (by changing nice values) and other tweaks. All I'm saying is if people delete those scripts and suddenly their rom acts up, don't come complain on the forums. I've seen more than my fair share of people doing XYZ and then screwing up their rom and complaining it doesn't work. It's just a warning that any modifications outside the the OP means you may have unexpected consequences and should NOT report them here.

I understand where your coming from, but I'll guarantee deleting those build prop tweaks will not cause any issues..

till B10 we had 'touchwhiz exchange security disabled' options. In B11 we no longer get this options.
Now so when I update to B11, the mail app i already had with 'touchwhiz exchange security disabled' keeps on 'force closing' and slows down the whole phone.
I had to go back to B10 .

Please fix this. I want the mail option back for 'touchwhiz exchange security disabled' :(

please help:confused:

Could you go into further detail on why deleting beans init.d scripts and adding these make the rom faster? Aren't the scripts there for a reason or does it have to do with the custom kernel?

Tweaks work better with stock, custom kernels usually have then built in.

Those build prop tweaks all deal with HW acceleration, or touch screen responsiveness.. I don't see the benefit on our device, but maybe a lower device.

Made a Nandroid and gave it a whirl, only left zipalign in there and deleted the rest of the stuff you mentioned.

On KT with Team Kernalizers tweaks/build.prop which was on there previously, phone booted quick as heck and no problems so far.

Dirty flashed over build 10 and everything is working great. Thanks again Beans for a great ROM, love your work.

I know this has probably been asked many times. But does the dirty flashing replace things like customized kernels, customized icons, things that I have customized in beans 10?

So basically, I'm still not able to make attachments from Stock TW Email app.

Opening Email App, going to compose, and tapping attachment icon on top right still gives me a force close on a fresh install, stock kernel, and the MD5 was confirmed.

Here's a logcat of the error:

Yeah, I always install My Files. Love the capability that it gives to attach multiple files at once with Email client.

Update: Problem solved.

Decided to wipe Internal since I haven't since owning my GS3. That solved the problem. Guessing there was a corrupted file effecting the Email client. All is well now. :p

    We are not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone as a result of installing custom roms and/or kernels. you do so at your own risk and take the responsibility upon yourself.

    21d27pv.png

    AllianceROM intends to give the user what THEY want. Tired of flashing Roms and having to ask for little changes to suit your taste? Tired of having to manually change colors of the toggles or the battery or move your clock or make statusbar transparent or any of the other multitude of other little color and style tweaks that Android users love? Tired of flashing AROMA installer for every little change you want to make? Tired of having to add your favourite images everytime a new rom comes out?

    If you answer yes to any of these then AllianceROM is for you! We have a huge array of "on the fly" options for you to play with. Make your phone to YOUR style. YOUR color. YOUR perfection.

    Available in both Stock and AOSP themes selectable on install, the majority of modifications in AllianceROM are OPTIONAL. You can turn them on and off at will. We try not to impose many things on people because we realise that Android is all about INDIVIDUALITY. Make YOUR Rom and YOUR phone how YOU want it and change it on a whim.

    AllianceROM - Designed to be Individual....

    Let's get one thing straight since I had to read 12 pages of garbage....
    No one accused Chad of ANYTHING! All that was said was in opinion there are 2 reasons why someone would not post source which were good opinions.
    You all took that as an accusation...that is something you need to reflect on. No reason for any retractions!
    The 2nd reason listed was the correct one. Chad felt all were cherry picking and stealing his work...end of story!
    NO ONE said he was stealing information! And NO WAY that opinion would result in any C&D being served! You seriously give someone that much power?
    Next time you have an issue with what you THINK someone meant take it to PMs but NOT in a ROM thread.
    Everyone of you could be infracted for either off-topic, personal attacks or flaming.
    Get this thread back on topic or people will be infracted or worse.
    I am not feeling too much like the Friendly Neighborhood Moderator after reading this crap first thing on a Sunday morning.
    But Thank you all for your future cooperation

    With all this said please use off-site mods or kernels at your own risk and please do not ask for support for those on XDA.
