Okay i'm back guys. The Kernel-Brickbug does not exist! Very good news..i think Samsung has watch out for this

Yes, two people have. DO NOT DO IT! Motorola releases 4.0.4 for the razr last week, and my friend just got it yesterday. I think the gsm razr started rolling out the day before.
Now that the official has hit, it won't be more than 2-3 weeks for every region and model of the tab7.7 they might even have verizon behind their whole ics rollout strategy. I'm not ready to give up on samsung yet, this device is THE android tablet. All it's missing is a wacom digitizer, the gs3's HDRi camera software and a 2 way radio and it'd be perfect.

Try to restore default and start clean. Usually this will clear up all the problem.

I have the P6800, I haven't rooted it (yet). I think it was imported from The Netherlands. The kernel version says:
2.6.36-P6800XXLA4-CL616407
root@DELL84 #3 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jan 5
I am downloading the Open Austria file from sammobile.
Should it be fine to install this on my device? I'm assuming I'll need to root to install it?
Any advice or walk throughs welcome!!

It will be fine.
You don't need to root to install, but if you're rooted you'll need to root again after flashing because you'll lose root

You only need root to flash via mobile odin, which reinject root and mobile odin when it flashes.
With android 4.0.4 this device is much closer to perfect.

When I tried opening Mobile Odin on my Tab 7.7, it says I need root. Is there a way to do it without root?
