I'll admit that I was iffy about repartitioning my Xoom, but after doing so and flashing CM11...holy crap! What a difference, it's like a totally different tablet now!

Here as in this thread or here as in XDA? AFAIK an "official" CM ROM doesn't have the option to move the buttons, but other devs using CM as a base have made those tweaks available.

It was in this thread but I realise now it was a screenshot of his 4.1.2 ROM, nevermind I suppose it's time to move with the times ;)

Must agree with your above comment too, it's like another tablet now. Was thinking about getting a new tablet as my Xoom on 4.2.2 was pretty slow and Larry but now it's flying along.

My Xoom is choppy as crap. How did you make it fly?

A CM10.1 wingray nightly from today,
Smell an official CM11 in few moments?

The CM team dropped official support for the XOOM at CM10.1, so there will not be an official CM11 nightly coming out. Only way will be through devs and threads like this one. At least, I'm pretty sure this is the case...

Break me off a piece of that Kit-Kat ROM!

Gee if only I did not open the link for the recent download and changelog, I wouldn't have known that it's already updated to yesterday :p
Since the link for gapps is stil tbd, can i use the gapps for omni?

I thought the browser is fixed in this version, password management works. Still very impressed with the everest rom. the browser remains shaky with the progress bar looking like a 3 year colouring in line and tabs flickering in and out. Or is it my xoom?

Followed all the directions and am still getting the error :

"Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped"

I have the Xoom 4G Stingray tablet

I tried both Omni and this one and both are giving me this error ..

Any Advice

Anyone know how to change the default search using Apex Launcher? Clicking on the search widget on the homescreen brings up an old looking Google Search, I have installed Google Now from the Play Store but don't know how to set it as the default search though.

I know this isn't really ROM related but thought I'd see if anyone else has had this problem.

A reboot should clear that up. I got the same com.android.phone FC and just kept clicking OK through the setup, once it got to the home screen I rebooted and never saw it again.

Do you have the stingray? If so does your Xoom find service with your provider or does it day searching for service.

I have the Stingray and mine picks up a 4G signal pretty quickly.

CyanogenMod 11.0 coming to a xoom near you!

This ROM is for wingray, stingray and everest.

    Based on:

    Download

    Download GApps
    TBD

    Download Root
    Already included

    Download Deprecated

    Install
    • You will need bigPart TWRP and execute the repartitioning as described in

      Source

      Prerequisites

      Instructions
      1. Your data will be totally wiped! If you have Nandroids, TitaniumBackups, or anything of any value on your internal storage, copy them to your microsd or computer! They will be gone forever! Your microsd card is the only safe haven on your Xoom during this process.
      2. Put TWRP 2.6.3.0 BigPart version and your desired rom on your microsd card.
      3. Reboot into recovery. Flash TWRP BigPart.
      4. Reboot into recovery. Go into wipe menu. Select "Advanced Wipe". Check
        • Dalvik Cache
        • System
        • Cache
        • Data
        • Internal Storage
and wipe them. Don't reboot just yet.
      5. Go into install. Recovery should show your microsd storage by default. If not, using the navigation panel, navigate to root then go into "sdcard". You can now follow the steps below, starting with Flash cm-11-201XXXXX-UNOFFICIAL-wingray.zip.

    • If updating from older ROM version in this thread, you don't have to wipe anything
    • If updating from an different rom, wipe
      • Dalvik Cache
      • System
      • Cache
      • Data
    • Flash cm-11-201XXXXX-UNOFFICIAL-wingray.zip
    • Flash gapps-xxxx.zip
    • Reboot

    Issues

    • TBD

    Tips'N'Tricks
    Show Developer and Performance settings
    • Go to the settings menu, and scroll down to "About phone." Tap it.
    • Scroll down to the bottom again, where you see "Build number."
    • Tap it seven (7) times, and *poof*, you've got the developer settings back.

    Reduces lagging
    • Overclock to 1.4Ghz (Performance menu)
    • Decrease animation duration to .5 (Developer options menu)
