ROM Packages from HTC Mega (QVGA WM 6.5)

Hi all,
in Comm Manager I added:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager\5]
@="Vibrate"
to add the Vibrate/Ringer choice to the Comm Manager

It works, icons related to button #5 are ok but I have no text description (label) on that buttom.

Can someone point me to the solution ? Any suggestions ?

if WiFi doesn't work you should check your original CommManager and findout what is your WiFi device.
In my case this reg key fix Mega CommManager WiFi item

wht abt the rest??

EDIT:when i press WiFi in CommManager it takes me to the WiFi page but doesnt who any WiFi's while WM6.5 gives the notification of it

After you run connection setup go into remove programs and select the connection setup database from the list and remove it.

Yeah ! but I want to automate it, (transparent for my rom users). I was thinking on something like checking if the connectionsetupauto.lnk existed in the startup folder + checking the boot count ??

In fact I loaded as a hard compressed zip

From what I read, if you run

Code:

wceload.exe \path\cabfile.cab

the program should be removed if it was not set as /nouninstall

So your sequence would be
1) install cab
2) run program
3) run wceload to uninstall cab

I have never done this before, but see it stated as install or uninstall cab in description of wceload here.

Zipped files would be harder to remove unless they are unzipped to a specific folder that you could delete without removing something else you want. Also, you could do a delete *.extension where extension is unique to the zipped file. For example *.dat, but there is always dangerts with global delete commands - there may be a dat file you need to keep.

I suggest going with the cab install, run, uninstall idea.

Thanks RoryB, but the problem is not so much on the method to delete the files but how to know when to do it: when you cold boot the device and customization ends, you enter the pin and a bit later the connection setup tool popsup. Till here all is correct.

When I choose the network, is in that moment that I want to delete all the files that I do not need anymore. Sorry if my explanations are not clear enough and thanks for your time helping me.

If you use Mortscript for your customizations, you could use runwait to start the connection setup tool and then the next line in the script could remove the files.

I think it is harder if you use autorun or runcc. I am not sure you can.

You could put a script in your startup folder that will not run until the boot count is greater than 1 (or maybe 2). This script could delete the files and itself.

Da_G, will these packages work with QWVGA (240x400)? I cook a lot of Omnia ROMS and was wondering if these packages will work in my ROMS. If not, could you please direct me to any packages that would work?

I have noticed a number of the packages have xml files in them that includes a line like this

<UI version="1.0">
<Global ResFilePath="Res.dll" CountryCode="0404">

I cannot find the file or module for res.dll

Also, it has

Code:

<LocaleList>
<Locale ResFilePath="ResCht.dll" CountryCode="0404">

and I cannot find that dll either, but probably do not care as much since I am using WWE.

Anyone have the res dll files, etc?

theme color isn't so feet to other page..like when you want send sms,below the screen,is green,and suddenly it come to white..

i cann't turn off the keyboard sound..
