I'm keeping S I for as long as it takes, with new battery (anker) and new case (otterbox) , it feels like a brand new phone, not a single micro scratch.
I had S II and currently have S III and still my love goes to my first android phone S I.

You've done a lot of good Stratosk, so if you can keep on going, if not, than thanks for all your development.

Re: [KERNEL] Semaphore JB 2.9.8

I also thought that maybe people who remained in SGS, don't want (or don't need) more Semaphore updates...
Stratos
I can't imagine my phone without you're kernel options!
The day you will stop semaphore update i think i will change my phone!
I hope new update soon :)

Strat, your kernel is pretty much perfect!
I've been following your work for almost two years now, watching every update and seeing you interract with everyone on the forums.
Considering that it's currently at build 2.9.8, and you are expecting your N4 soon, perhaps your final release can be a truly stable 3.0.0, and for your final touch something you suggested (as a joke) a long while ago.

It would be so great if on the splash page you could have it as per usual, but down the bottom right hand corner have your signature, just as a final 'swan song' of sorts, for all the amazing work you've done. I know myself, as well as most of the other members on here, would truly appreciate that :)

Keep up the great work man, and enjoy the new phone when it finally arrives :)

May I know my setting that selected at Semaphore Manager, why it doesn't appear at etc/init.d?

Re: [KERNEL] Semaphore JB 2.9.8

Because it's set by android boot event, not by init.d.

lux 5000 is not an acceptable value. Valid values are 1 - 3000. A "good' value is 2500-3000.
If this does not work, please check your light sensor with other application (Elixir 2).

I'm already running this version on my phone. I just had second thoughts to release it or not.

Trying to find the sweet spot again, i find the max lux value is capped really low.
According to elixier, the sensors max lux is 10240.
I guess the current brightness = (current lux)*(max brightness)/(max lux)
For max values, This means i get max brightness when the lux hits 3000.
It was very cloudy today, and the sensor reported ~3000-3500 lux
The screen went max bright, even though 255 brightness is too much for that amount of light.
I guess thats what the max brightness is for, but if i cap it at lower value, it wont be suitable for brighter environments, sunny day for example.

I've also been following Strat kernel for over 2 years, and I must join in on your comment to Strat :good:

Re: [KERNEL] Semaphore JB 2.9.8

Your kernel is the best for my phone! With 120% live OC (1200MHz) the phone is very stable. Never restart it self. Other kernels (the stock nightly to) restart the phone at 1200MHz (with no live OC).
Thank You very much! :D

Thanks everybody for your words and your support!
Your huge support and interest about Semaphore makes me want to try even more for something better.

Maybe it's not obvious, but I'm working hard on this project. Last weeks, I try more to expand my knowledge and contribute to Linux kernel.
As I said, this may not have immediate affect in Semaphore versions. But I hope for some results in near future.

Semaphore is here. I'm here. Semaphore will not stop. I will try to contribute to Linux kernel, through this project. Maybe using other device, but with the same goals.

Thanks again for everything.
