Just to add to this, it won't work on deodexed DXKL3 either due to JKay's mods so you need XWKL1 or below as LA roms have significant changes.

One thing that's been around for a while that I keep forgetting to say about is when you go into messaging and press menu, delete threads, both the "Delete" and "Cancel" buttons are aligned in the top left as opposed to being in the centre of the buttons. Only minor but is one of those little niggles

FAQ Solutions: appreciating contributor's time of answering unlimited same questions

firstly, i am writing this comment In my very humble personal opinion, in order to respect other people's handwork and their time (in this matter, people who actively contributing in the thread and especially mr. vertumus as thread starter and creator of all these great theme and mods).

how can we respect other people in this virtual forum, what i mean by not repeating a questions over and over again? by READING IT of course. i really spent my time reading comments like 'will it work on this .... rom and ...... rom' or 'will it work on dxkl3 or whatsoever'. after reading all of these i conclude and suggest some steps for mostly new to android (like me of course), and basically all of these is just a simple logical thinking pattern, if u ever try to think about it:

1. STOCK rom
should people consider, that stock ROM is absolutely an ODEXED rom, because it is left as an official build made by the samsung, so there is no way an official ROM will work to stock rom. stop asking these kind of questions. it is like questioning ' is pepper taste hot?' of course it is.

2. ODEX and DEODEXED rom
currently there are two method to apply a theme to a mod, that is building a rom completely built in with a rom (with is very not effective, rom version is rapidly developing in high pace, and starting from scratch will be pain in the a**), and the other is VRTheme, like vert use in this thread.
using a VRTheme (as long as i know) is requiring DEODEXED rom, because the system file and apps (apk in android, for those who does not know/new to android) is opened, and VRTheme is just skinning on top of it without changing the system file, generally. you can imagine like if you prepare a dish (ROM in this case) and if it's still too plain for you, you can add seasoning (VRTheme) based on your preferences, not making a new dish with a correct seasoning (explaining a built-in theme within a ROM)

what i want to address here is: GET A CUSTOM ROM FOR YOUR SGS2. SERIOUSLY. you don't enter this forum (especially this thread) just to ask a simple basic questions. for those like this, PLEASE READ MORE. Rooting your phone is a MUST way in order to make your phone in a better shape, giving it a better power management system like custom kernel, or even speeding up your whole rom.

3. Suggestion of stable custom ROM for DAILY USE
not dare to find a stable custom ROM for you? i will give u suggestion:
Checkrom revoHD v4 (XWKK5) and hyperdroid v6 (or the v5, if you want to use the theme in full shape: there is no Jkay integration in XILA version like checkroom v5 and hyperdroid)

*why checkrom: because checkrom is good! even mr. vertumus is a good friend of Gadgetcheck, one of the creator of checkroom; and even mr. vertumus is one of the contributor of checkrom. why not use the rom which the master use also?
*why hyperdroid: seriously, there are so many people here with a signature of hyperdroid rom, and those people contributing and helping this thread and the theme to make it better, even manage to answer countless questions like mentioned above. they are actively developing the rom and this theme also even in a better shape. so check their ROM out.

and please think about this: if their ROM is not good? why do they get a million views in their thread, and even millions of download and increasing version? because the project is alive. and why the project is still alive? because they have the QUALITY AS A BETTER ROM THAN THE STOCK ROM.

4. regarding mods in post 2
this part is a bit tricky, but some mods cannot be integrated within the theme, because people may use different type of based rom (xwkk5, xila2, dxkl3, xxki4, and so on). and certain mods on certain rom OBVIOUSLY cannot be integrated in another type ROM, because type coding or the program within it is DIFFERENT. as mentioned above, VRTheme is only skinning the top of it. but regarding mods, it has to do within the modification, so if you are crying about boot loops, the first things you have to check is whether a single mods even apply in your rom or not, because VRTheme will not work if you have mods first (generally speaking, but different case can be talked differently).

please do make not that i am no contributor, even a developer. i just an end user who very loved this theme and thread, especially mr. vertumus who is very kind. please, know that mr. vertumus is also a man with his own private life and has family to take care on. and yet he is doing this WITHOUT ANY COST AT ALL and with COUNTLESS TIME, and depends ONLY in his love towards this kind of thing, and with single virtue: to make SGS2 displayed WAY better than the stock. so why not helping him by giving time to do more about the theme instead answering the same questions over and over again?

i think it would be best to use the thread communication to showing respect comments, bug reports, suggesting regarding the rome, newest info about other thread, and so on.

finally, i really want to apologize everyone in this thread and community, since i am also a new comer for this. i humbly ask for an apologize for typing this soooo long. but i hoped it will turned even better if people more realize about the general terms. i also a newbie but everybody always improving.. by READING first right?

if the instructions in page 1 is still considered confusing, i am willingly taking contribution to make any parts from this thread to get even better, so people not get confused easily.

i hope you enjoy the theme as much as i do, and in much more simpler way of thinking

Hi, I noticed a small one:
In the Yahoo! Mail app, if you long press an email the context menu will have options gray on gray, nearly impossible to read.

I have installed the following:
CheckRom RevoHD v4
ICS Domination v1.9
+Blue subtext mod
+Blue Circle battery mod

NOTE: Screenshot attached.

Thanks for all your work and for bringing to my SGS2 the ICS blue !!!
I will post again if I see other issues.

Type in LPB in the search and you would've seen that this has been asked lots and the answer is no because it's an ICS ROM. It only works on GB ROMs.

btw just a minor thing but for those using hyperdroid v6, do you lose the icon of hyperdroid ota tool in the settings menu when you theme? mine appears with just these...{ } hyperdroid...love that icon (appears on stock and other themes though)...

Yupe, same here as well but I think it works well that way since it would look weird and out of place if it still have the same icon. It won't go with the theme overall look.

yes that is right..

I asked Vert about it before and the "{ }" are the correct ICS symbols for developer apps, or something like that...

So it's by design

I don´t know if someone noticed it so far but......

for all Checkrom V5 Users. ICS Domination 1.9 Hyperdroid version works also with Xila2 Roms like Checkrom V5.

As Rinoko says that's apparently the ICS icon for the developer tools on the Galaxy Nexus but personally don't think it fits right.

If you don't like it then you can easily change it by adding in a png icon into settings.apk called hdp.png. I've done exactly this from the first release of HyperDroid that included HDP. Just find an icon you like and make sure it's the correct size.

+1 on that, no smooth spinners... though fixable easily by just flashing smooth spinners .zip found somewhere in the "Themes" section.

It's like that because systemUI an framework are modded, and YahooMail uses some system files, so no fix for that...

Standard icon from ICS builds, it's how it's supposed to be.

And now the bug I managed to find, a really small one though.
When you type in a part of a number in the dialer ( i.e 471 for example, like in my screenshot ) the system filters out phone numbers that have 471 in them. When you click the button to show which those numbers are a popup appears that should show those in grey and 471 highlighted in white. The issue is the popup background is also grey so you can only see 471 highlighted, and nothing else.

ICS Domination Red Keyboard Mod

Lo Folks!

As some may know i'm a big fan of the blood mode.
Just love Verts ICS Style + the Red Touch.
But i got mad of allways seeing my blue keyboard when everything else is beautiful red. So i started to theme it!
It has some minor graphical incompleteness, like the blue top line or the badly looking settings key but everything else seems to be fine. (will try to fix it or maybe someone else will

)
Well if someone wants more blood on his blood mode here is the first result

Boot into CWM Recovery and install attached Zip file ( AxT9IME_Red.zip )

Well, not to say its a bug...

but before you released 1.9, many posts back you said you would make the enable/disable button properly

enabled = lighter
disabled = darker than before..

just noting!..

I use smart keyboard and I found 2 skins that go quite well with it:

Solid Red Keyboard

ICS Red Keyboard

They are both at about 0,75 EUR but are worth it if you can't theme yourself. Btw, might have not seen it - is there a matching dialler available for the blood version ?
