no i did not.

Standard procedure with odin no repartition.
Former rom: G3 stock (russian version) rooted with update.zip and removed russian stock apps.

procedure: pressed volume down -power-home button -> started odin on windows 7 x64

tried exactly the same, didn't work for me

I don't have any problems yet... seems snappy but just have to start playing around now.
edit: colors in screenshot are not right.. screenshot tool messed up

Maybe i am too fast in saying this but i think the lag/stall has been fixed in this release or at least reduced at lot

i believe the PIT file above is older than the PIT file from samsung firmware website right?

If I remember correctly there's one pit file available which setups a bit bigger dbdata-partitioN and is the one that i've uploaded.
