If you have Google voice, talkatone is the answer for prepaid 30 dollar t mobile accounts with Free WiFi and 3g/4g calls.

T-Mobile does deduct minutes for WiFi calling, unless you have unlimited minutes on the account, the t mobile WiFi calling app does use out of your allotment.

I guess there was a lag on the tmobile website, they did deduct minutes from me. Sorry for posting wrong information! Wifi calling from tmobile on their $30 prepaid plan uses your minutes

When i flashed this rom, still only had edge. Then i noticed that i still have a i717 baseband. Isn't it supposed to change my baseband when i flash the rom?

Great on postpaid accounts with unlimited minutes, not so much for prepaid with limited minutes.

"There is no additional monthly charge to use the Wi-Fi Calling feature on your handset. Wi-Fi Calling uses monthly plan minutes for the following:
Calls made from the US to US numbers
Calls made from the US to international numbers (subject to international rates)
Calls made from outside the US to US numbers (not charged roaming)
Calls made from outside the US to international numbers (subject to international rates, but not charged roaming)"

--T Mobile Customer Support Doc http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1680

Also as noted before, this process will not touch your baseband(radio), it will carry over from your previous ROM.

Re: [ROM]Install T-Mobile Stock 4.0.4 on i717

let's say I see a ROM in the TM section that I would like to run on my i717. Would I be right to assume that I could flash that rom and then just flash the correct radio for AT&T? I feel like that's a stupid question...........yes I searched but did not come up with anything.....I hate asking questions

edit: guess this really doesn't matter when there are not any ROMs with considerable differences over there

The only rom I tried over there was jedi and it ran without issues. I guess that's why development stopped over there because the roms can be flashed back and forth like the t989 and the skyrocket.

In my eyes when it comes to these phones and development there is no stupid question you are just trying to learn like the rest of us

Just a heads up, I'm on tmobile's $30 prepaid plan, and I was able to use wifi calling and it didn't use any minutes. I was also able to use google voice as my voicemail. Everything's running good so far.

Thanks for being the first to confirm that this is working
it something that i know of hasent been done before so i want people to trust that this is real :D
