Simplicty For Galaxy Y ported from Galaxy Ace S5830i​

This rom was originally ported by Tom411 - I have taken this port and fixed some bugs added some new features and streamlined it

1. added jelly bean layout
2. 14 Toggles
3. added jelly bean usb mount/unmount
4. Voice Search
5. Touchwizz
6. added extended power menu
7. removed unnecessary mods,apps
8. ninesky browser
9. added jelly bean styled phone calling mode
10. battery charging bug removed [while switch off ]
11. battery bug removed while charging[ when switch on]
12. some ui changes + more smoothness.....
13. No kernel integrated

I have also designed a new SystemUI to fix the bugs that were effecting the orig SystemUI - You will need to flash the mod after you have booted the rom for the first time

Mod Status Bar - Changes From Orig
Fixed flashlight toggle
Changed the brightness slider to cm7 smali (no need for greper and the brightness changes as you slide)
Changed layout


How To Install
Go into CWM
Wipe data/reset
Mount everything
Install Zip from SD
Select the rom zip
Restart
Wait untill media scan is complete
Reboot back the cwm
Mount System
Install zip from SD
Select the Status Bar Mod zip
Restart

If WIFI does not work you need to flash the wifi drivers for your kernel
Either stock wifi drivers or whitexp wifi drivers

FAQ

Q - My wifi doesn't work
A - Flash wifi drivers - either stock or whitexp depending on kernel

Q- Bluetooth does not work
A- Download ES File Explorer from the playstore and send the file with that (long click file select more at bottom right then share and select bluetooth)

Q- What is viper
A- A sound mod - enable it from the app and customise equaliser to taste

Q- In simplicity settings dsp manager force closes when pressed
A- This is because it's been replaced with viper - launch from app

Q- Does this rom have Hw acceleration
A- No as galaxy y does not support it in non cm7 roms but software playback works fine for avi files in mx player

Q- Auto rotation doesn't work
A - Yes it does but not on home screen

Q- Error loading digital clock widget
A- Use one from Here

Q- Call settings in the settings menu force closes
A- This is because the ace phone.apk & y phone.apk are different - if a solution is found a patch will be made

I fixed the bluetooth & sent it to ffx_wakka for testing I think he passed it on to you
the build I tested the camera forced closed I dunno if it was fixed on latest build
I fixed the toggle with my Modded statusbar which you used
There's no bugs in my version that I can see other than dsp force closes if you select it in settings as it's been replaced with viper

Tested with Hell lock's #50 Kernel + DHD 1.1 Wi-Fi driver, and Fly-On v0.7 Mod, so smooth, i didn't saw any bugs :)

Just saw : when we are connected through wifi, the Wifi icon is a little bit small... nothing really important ;)

Well lots of png editing today

9 png errors and fixes

And failures in changing the layout of call screen to S3
It looks better the original way!


So, I'm too tired today :sigh:
Tomorrow, I have to study for Practicals on 25th and 27th

So, just keep suggesting and I will keep note of them

It is very tiresome creating new pngs in Photoshop and then looking at them and saying it isn't nice

I thought this will give nice look but ...

Looks beautiful from the screenies, finally a ROM that is different than the rest (no JB look-a-like, Holo Launcher, TT launcher bs) but a simplistic stock look with improvements.

Flashing now and I'll report my experience after 24 hours of using this. :victory:

Why can't any system app be replaced? Always ending up in bootloop no matter what.

It happens on both pushing and zip flashing.

    Exams over and according to promise, here is Dandelion Mod
    Due to Full day of study, Physics Practical to Coaching, I wasn't available till 8 PM, so after fixing some things I have created the package and it is 27th till now here in India. So, I kept my promise and it is 20 minutes before 12 so here you go

    Instructions:-

    They are at last because very less people read them


    Though the mod is tested on CWM recovery, you can try e3 too

    These all mods mount and unmount partition and set the permissions automatically, so no no need to do it, but these steps shown in instructions are shown to be done if everything else fails



    Very Important: For full S3 look, first flash the S2/S3 Theme by Abhi and Then Flash S3 Dandelion Mod
    As I have not modded the things which were already modded, such as launcher, etc


    1. Download desired mod
    2. Place it in the root of your sdcard(Preferred)
    3. Reboot into recovery
    4. Mount /system(Do if installation fails)
    5. Install zip from sdcard
    6. Choose what you want
    7. Read what appears on screen
    8. Reboot
    9. Enjoy
