Flashing through Odin overwrites the partitions loaded in the One-Click or TAR whereas a ZIP in recovery generally just formats them.
If you're looking for the cleanest flash possible I'd go with the Odin route.
The exe file is the tar itself. Download it and run it and it should extract everything for you.

Open source.samsung website shows source of MA6 for our device so ota is definitely coming this week or next

If you want to update your phone using update zip then you need atock recovery. Also you need to be on a stock rom. As if from sprint. A bloated stock rom with stock recovery

Does someone have a link to a full ROM tar download for MA6 not just the official update? I am looking to pull just the boot.img file out of it for kernel development. I have searched the thread and I do not see a link to get a full MA6 tar file? I see the download for MA4 on Sex tape's site but not MA6. I realize that a full TAR for MA6 might not have been leaked yet, but I was just asking just in case it had and I missed it in my searching.
