Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as Android Ice Cold Project that started on HTC Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!

Until lollipop, ROM has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CyanogenMod when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.

ROMs should contain everything you need to enjoy Marshmallow. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, Google Apps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

How to flash:

  • Install latest TWRP/CWM/Philz recovery on your device.
  • Make a backup of your current ROM.
  • Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik.
  • Flash ROM.zip and Googleapps.zip.
  • Reboot system and setup!

PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.

If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

Reserved for BUGS!!! :)

Awesome !!! Thank U So much Strix

Its a good ROM. Considering 5.1 to be in its early stages, this one is good.
  • Battery awesome when compared to other ROMs. (85% 1.5hrs SOT with WiFi and normal usage)
    la69t.png
  • Lots of customisations. So those who want extra stuff than cm12 this one is for u.

Bugs:-
  1. Lots of force closes here and there.
    • Keyboard force close
    • Settings force close when changing default SIM data.
      2hf4dnq.png
  2. As mentioned CM 12.1 bugs. Not much but its still there.
  3. As usual LED settings.
    10wkx9x.png
  4. Processor hardly enters deepsleep. Cause for battery to drain even when not using. (Flashed pa_gapps-modular-nano-5.1-20150315-signed.zip)

Also, there is some unknown indicator at top :)

First of all this ROM is too good...good job people keep it up :) ..And I'm submitting the bugs so that you can improve this ROM and collect more thanks and wishes...After using this ROM for an hour, I got stuck with some bugs(I don't really know whether they are actually bugs or not but still I'm submitting my answer, I hope you will help me out :p)
1. Gesture Typing is not working.
2. Music player is stopping continuously(Although being a beginner in this line I have restarted my phone thrice and tested the functions like enabling-disabling and deleting cache-data and then restarting the app but its not working)
3. Titanium is showing "Root Access : Failed"

help me out

1) Download 'google keyboard' from play store(it's not hard to find it), install, make setup and use it instead google keyboard aosp and you got working gesture typing.

2)don't have that problem.my music app work flawlessly.

3)I'm using SuperSU pro and titanium pro version.its granted without problem.

    Removed

Guys, I have updated AICP source to Android 5.1.1 but it is an early release after 5.1.1 is merged..
    I tested out build personally.
    So here's build: http://goo.gl/TxvxuX
IMP: Some people may have too many force closes on first boot.
    Follow this:
    1. Wipe system, cache, dalvik-cache
    2. Mount all partitions
    3. Flash ROM as well as Gapps
    4. Reboot. Now if you face many fcs after booting, just reboot the phone.
All fcs should be solved by then.

EDIT: Removed. Build don't seem suitable for release :(
