I think he didn't install the Update.zip.
This is no downgrade - method!
If your phone doesn't boot into recovery after flashing with RSD by its own, than you have to do it manually on usual way.
I was trying to come back to 2.3.6 and i got Flash Failure(...), then i found this topic I have changed the xml file of T-mobile image->flash with RSD and, when it finished at reboot, screen turns BLACK after MOTO logo and shows nothing
Then you have to boot into Recovery via AP Fastboot and install the 4.0.4 OTA again!
All right...But if it would be that easy, i think dtrail & co. would give us an ok. So don't have to much hope about that
ok, I will wait for it..thanks!

HAve you tried this metod? (point 11)
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=26012046&postcount=1
I tried this already, but a bit modified... The result is an non-rooted Razr with a Chinese CID Partition on it
Have you tried to press "Vol up + Vol down + power" and choose BP Tool?
It might work.
In my opinion it would be more difficult to great an downgrade than an Root...
Try with everything options but nothing....
yeah, but it's more important if yo want to sell the phone! (now warranty is void!)
Ok Guys,
after playing a little bit with my Razr running the T-Mobile ICS Leak i got it finaly bricked
< CRACKFLASHER
Don't ask how i did this, that doesn't matter
I tryed to restore my Backup that i did before in CWM, but get an Error restoring the System.
So my only way back to an working Phone was RSD an here I'm.
I'll post you my .XML-File for the T-Mobile 2.3.6, so maybe you can do it the same way.

After flashing with RSD the Phone boots into Recovery, as you know.
Flash the Update.zip from there and reboot your Device.
Ofcourse there's no Root anymore!
Edit: I've used an Factory Cable for flashing...
